Depending on how you were raised...

Do you take your shoes off before entering your house?

If not, when you go over someone else's house and they ask you to take off your shoes do you generally comply or do you hesitate?

We always wear shoes in my house but sometimes when I go over my friends I have to take off my shoes. I don't mind but I don't like walking around in my socks because it wears them down and that's how I get holes.

My flip and asian folks without a doubt I have to take off my shoes before entering. But at my girls house we have to take our shoes off too and she's black, so it's not just a cultural thing because her mom is very touchy about tracking in dirt on her carpets.

i've found that filipino and mexican families are very particular about not having shoes in the house...

i think it goes along with the thinking that the home is the sancitity of family and that bringing in things that are dirty such as your shoes that walk on gross shit all day will ruin that harmony and plus i know traditional mexican and filipino mothers are obsessed with having a spotless clean home...

haven't you heard of "shoes for in the house" or "clothes for in the house" ?
filipino mom's always make her kids wear different shit for "in the house"

and thats almost the same with mexican mom's, i know a couple different mexican moms that have a different pair of slipper/shoes just to wear in the house haha...

WELL IM FILIPINO AND IM ALSO MEXICAN AND MAYBE ITS JUST MY FAMILY, BUT WE DONT THINK NUTHIN ABOUT NO DAMN HARMONY IN THE HOUSE. CHANGIN YOUR SHOES ISNT GONNA CHANGE THE FACT THAT YOUR A DRUG DEALER AND A KILLER. NEGATIVITY IS ALREADY LINGERING IN THE HOUSEHOLD. FOLKS CHANGE SHOES IN THE HOUSE TO SOMETHING CALLED "HOUSE SHOES". SHIT SOME MEXICANS WEAR THERE SHIT OUTSIDE. NUTHIN TO DO WITH NO POSITIVE ENERGY SPIRITUAL TYPE OF SHIT
