yeah a lot of people lately have been critical of him lately.

something ive noticed after the past few seasons, every fucking time he gets tackled he sits there and waits for someone to help him up.

It goes way beyond just that broken play, it goes onto the fact that he is a pussy who falls down at first hit, STILL cant hit the holes hard, and can only gain speed once he is 10 yards down field.

He is past his prime and on the downslope. Mo Mo is a descent back, but not an every down back IMO. I would like to see us draft an RB next year somewhere in the draft. There should be a descent handful coming out.

Exactly. On a lot of plays if you watch in slow-mo, you can see Alexander start to fall before he even gets hit. I was not excited when we re-signed him and a lot of ex Alexander fans are starting to come around on this issue.

With Shaun the conversation always gets skewed b/c folks don't really know what we're calling him. I agree with a lot of the criticisms people have mentioned, especially the guy who said after getting tackled he just sits around and waits to be helped up (not a huge deal but annoying). I don't mind the falling down part, he only does that when there's no chance of him breaking the tackle, if he has enough space to give a guy a stiffarm or hit him, he won't fall down.

However...

If we all just take him for what he is, and that's about the 7th - 10th best RB in the NFL, I'm glad he's on my football team. I know that if you look at the list of rushing yards in the NFL (he's 9th) he is one of only 2 guys in the top 15 who are averaging under 4.0 a carry. But he's been too durable and too productive even when it doesn't feel like he's playing well to ignore. I'm glad he's on the Seahawks.

I do, but he has blocking issues and lacks concentration at times. he is quicker then SA and hits the holes hard, but doesnt have the ability to be the every down back. Regardless, he is a FB anyways...so its a moot point.

fuck all that im a big leanard weaver fan, him and mo morris and another servicable back we coulda signed had we not resigned alexander wouldve made up for that. we shoulda kept hutchison and let go of alexander. and weaver is a hybrid. you cant say he is just a fullback strictly i dont think.

edit: and you goddamn right xpanther we should be undefeated right now. if we can win our next two games, i like the rest of our schedule a whole lot

the seahawks are startin to get old as well..

btw when the seahawks used wallace at wideout during the 9ers game(i know they used him a few times) but this is the time first time i actually saw it, and damn wallace would be a huuuuuuge threat if they start to use him a lot more.

Yeah man, this weekend is going to be really tough.

HOWEVER....if we can get the W this weekend with home games against NO & STL, there's a very good chance we could go into our bye at 6-1.

^^You just can't do what I just did as a fan in this league, I know I shouldn't do it but it's so damn hard not to project game outcomes in advance.

They're on the slightly younger than average side on defense and the slightly older than average side on offense. Neither of them is extreme on either end. This squad is actually younger than the one who went to the Super Bowl two years ago.
