Why whenever I hear this "Best Bay Area Rappers," or "Most Underrated Bay Rappers," Seagram's name doesn't get mentioned. He was one of the realest rappers to ever come out of Oakland. He gave cats like Yukmouth a style to run with, and not only were his songs str8 up GUTTER, but he was a legit lyricist. RIP to the SEAG yall we need to give all our fallen soldiers their proper due, not just Mac Dre and Tupac.

Simple. Because most people haven't heard of him, especially kids of today. Those are the same people that say Hammer is either whack or a joke. A Diamond award ain't no joke son!

^^True talk!!! SEAG is one of the greatest legends ever to emerge from The Town, straight up 69ville F-U-N-K! And most importantly he respected the rules of the game and went out like a true soldier sacrificing himself to protect his comrade. I can't wait to pick up the album Octavius is releasing, when it finally comes out...

"Don't wear all black it makes my targets cautious, wear some everyday shit so I don't look obvious........................ Roll the same old bucket so niggas see no progress, I don't give a FUCK who I jack what I'm tryna stress, if I go to the pen niggas will try to stick me, if somethin' go wrong mothafuckas better KILL ME!!!"

Haha what's funny is that I'm only 18! I'm up on Seag as if I grew up listening to him. I agree that the youngstas gotta know they history, but the OGs gotta keep it lit for the cats who aint here no more. Only person who's name stay on these OG's lips is Mac Dre. Dre was the NIG!! But he wasn't the only. The OG's gotta keep it lit for all the fallen soldiers.

seagram was too real for a lot of people in the bay rap game at the time of his passing. if you said you was a pimp in your raps they would ask you where. say you was a gangster and they would check your credentials. any fakeness was getting exposed. him being so real and not playing the fake friend game, was why there was not a lot tribute given. but his music speaks for itself one of the best to ever do it out of town.

I played his song Birth...

He gives a shoutout to his daughters and his sun, Lil' Seag... and for all the children who have to grow up w/ out a father. :(

Must be hard for his children to listen that statement.
