just came back from the sage show. shit was off the meat rack.

the opening acts werent too bad.

cant remember the first guys name, but he was a joke. didnt like him

solillaquist of sound - these people were dope. i got their cd, ill maybe post something up later if its worth it

sole - biggest cynic rapper ever. at one point in his set he had everyone point guns into the sky and say something like "booya god, booya god!" id heard him before, never seen him live. looks funny and though i wasnt really feeling him, ive seen much worst opening acts in my life

sage - awesome set. did half of it by himself and the other half with a live guitarist and this dj named divinci who plays a beat machine live like a piano. sage has great stage presence and definitely put on one of the better live shows ive ever been to. highly recomend attending one

thats kinda funny. i guess i could see where youre coming from with that, but sage is sick. lyrically, as far as metaphors and his poetic style, he blows most mcs away. im sure hes better than any rapper you listen to.

sage might be emo nerd rap but he is still shittin on most, can hate on his content all you want but not too much you can say about his skills.his lyrics and wordplay are sick. his freestyles and battles are enough to prove his place. sage might be a "nerd rapper" but can rip 80% of the rappers you listen to.

I typically only listen to dark, “Satan worshipping” “I hate life” rap or some hardcore political shit, but I’m not ashamed to say I enjoy Sage Francis. I think he’s probably one of the most artistic and intelligent rappers I have ever heard.

I suppose his style of music is something that grows on you and I can definitely see how someone could download a couple tracks and think he’s wack. The only reason I got into him is cuz siccfucc linked a track a while ago to a track that happened to be real political and I digged that shit. If I downloaded another track I probably wouldn’t be typing this message.

Anyways, he aint for everybody, but I think he’s tight.

BTW, Unkut, there is a track called “Jesus in a bowl of Germs” that is on a Sage Francis album (someone else actually raps it) and it would probably be more your style. You should listen to that track.

Also, a lot of Sage Francis tracks are actually pretty dark. “Day one I played with her blood. Day two, left her faced bruised and we called it making love. Day three, her blood played with me…", shit like that.

Yeah I liked all the albums I ordered (I bought 3 all together). I think I have most all of Sage now, I downloaded a so called "disography" that had "all" of his albums and unreleased shit. I still bump sage which says a lot cuz I tend to get sick of shit fast.
