Welcome back Blake...

According to the Rocky Mountain News, Steve Blake is coming back to the Blazers:

The free-agent point guard said today he has agreed to a three-year deal with the Trail Blazers. Though a Florida native, Blake and his family make their offseason home in Portland.

Blake averaged 8.3 points and 6.6 assists in 49 games with the Nuggets last season. He was willing to return to Denver but opted for Portland as the Nuggets were on the verge of finalizing a contract with guard Chucky Atkins.

"That's OK, if that's the direction they want to go," Blake said in a brief phone interview. "I just decided to go back to Portland."

And from what I'm hearing Steve Blake took less money to play for the blazers, then he was offered from the nuggets

looks like Jerret jack May be on the way out...

Yeah cuz we signed Chucky Atkins so Steve was expendable he wanted 5.3 mill and Rex Chapman decided thats to high for basically a back up piont who's to incosisnent from the three point range. I mean he's a good player but he aint the same player once Allen and Melo are in the line up..
So you know the Nuggs never offered him a contract or anything they where exploring multiple options because they were never going to give one player the whole mid-level exception they have a few holes they need to address..

Blake is a nice player, but I don't understand that signing. I know he was a fan favorite but now we have 39 million pgs now that Taurean Green has signed a guaranteed contract. Jack or Rodriguez must be on the way out and I don't much like the idea of letting either of them go. I doubt either of their values (or contracts) are high enough around the league to get us anything useful.

Yea, thats what I dont like about it. What is Jack going to get us in a trade that would be an improvement over what he brings? A downgrade is all we can do in a Jack trade. KP has stated that he has not had any trade talks involving Jack, but he also said Z-Bo was a part of our future right before he was traded for a chair. It could still work out though. Rodriguez and Green to the D League until theyre ready and Blake and Jack as our primary pgs with Roy taking the role of 3rd pg if its ever needed.

No offense y'all
but this was thread worthy?
Blazer fans are excited about the Blazers right now. Its easy to see how fans of most other teams would not understand that since they don't have shit to look forward to while Portland has the brightest future in the NBA to look forward to.

It's not even that really, This sports forum(one of the very few i check) is the one I've always wanted to be in, but sense the siccness is so Nor cal as far as members go, its always been hella warrior/a's/raiders/niners/giants talk goin on, little things too, like the little Free agents the sign in the offseason, pre season talk ETC. and finally some blazer fans have managed to find themselves in the sports forum, and now we can bullshit about blazer stuff.

LOL. You can't be serious. Give this Trailblazer team a few years and THEY will be the team to topple. That is the definition of a bright future, you wierdo.
