Recording Microphones

anyone have advice on any good mics to record with that arent too expensive? by that i mean less than 100 bucks. should i go to ebay or just a local guitar center? and what should i look for in a good mic?

In that price range I would deff get a audio technica AT2020 or AKG Perception I have the perception 200 wich was only $159.00 wich offers cutoff switches and that realy helps when recording vocals.I would deff consider that it sounds as good as some $1000.00 mics and has the classic flavor! Very good choice but also for less than $100.00 for about $70.00 you can get a MXL 990 condenser mic I have one I could sell you for $30.00 obviously not my fav mic but It works ok with some magic EQ if you need any more help just holla at me!!!

I got the Perception 100 for my preproduction recordings and its not that bad actually.
