rare bay area mp3s all over the net

everytime i look into a users files i see at least a good portion of rare bay area and other rarities from around the nation mp3s of full albums and users pass it around like its no tommorrow i mean everywhere i go on soulseek / dc++ or mirc there everywhere!!! and can record companies get sued and the download sites as well over this shit??? please respond if anyone knows
