Question about most rappers

You notice how almost all rappers think they are the best, tightest, most original thing ever? They say they are going to change the game, they are gonna run shit, people aren't ready for them, and all kinds of other shit.

My question is: do they get that way once they start rapping, because they impress the hell out of themselves? Or is that kind of person just more likely to start rapping, so if they weren't rapping they would be that way anyway? What do you think?

Most of us are humble as fuck outside of the booth. In order to make shit happen with this music, you have to believe you are better than your competition, there is no rapper better than you. If you don't believe that, and you don't portray that kind of an attitude, nobody will listen to you, because you're not sure of yourself in their eyes. That's why I'm cocky on the mic, because I know I'm good at something and in order for me to keep going I have to believe that I'm better than everybody out there. If I don't believe it, who will?
