These two cities can be considered Midwest. I haven't heard anything from either of them, there's got to be some heat coming out of those big places. Anybody know of any groups, or any website where I can check some shit out?

midwest huh...since pittsburg is on the atlantic coast I would definately not agree with you and buffalo is in NY....c'mon now.
Pittsburg is not on the Atlantic Coast. It is west of Appalachia, in my geography text book it is considered Midwest because it is West of Appalachia. Coast implies being within 300 miles of salt water, which it is not.

Same thing with Buffalo, it is on the Great Lakes therefore connected a lot more to Great Lakes midwest cities. NY and PA are big states, just b/c they have places like NYC and Philly doesn't mean the entire state is considered East Coast.

That's what Im sayin.. midwest?? you trippin, and I always thought buffalo was a white town??
Buffalo is 37% black, that makes it blacker than any city in California besides Oakland and Compton, twice to four times as black as places like LA, Frisco & Dago. I'm bringing up California cities b/c that's where I think you're from.

Buffalo also has the 2nd highest segregation index in the US and the 3rd widest median income gap between whites and blacks. Those two things essentially compose the definition of a ghetto, which essentially composes the definition of where hip-hop music comes from. So not only are there a lot of black people in Buffalo, but it really really sucks to be black in Buffalo.

So there's GOT to be some good music coming from out there. I just can't find it, it's frustrating.

I live 2 and a half hours away from Buffalo and I haven't heard of shit from Buffalo, i'm sure theres alot of underground cats there, but they ain't makin any noise what so ever.

Buffalo definately ain't midwest though man....I live up here, this place is upper northeast, just because it touches a great lake don't make it midWEST, hell it curves all the way around to the uppereast part of the great lakes.

If you get east of the Mississippi river you can't put anything WEST in the location. Don't make sense.

I feel what you're saying about Buffalo but talk to anybody from Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and they say they are Midwest, they are all East of the River.

Thanks for responding to the original question.

Buffalo & Pittsburgh is in the East. Not on the coast but definitely in the East. Almost the whole Eastern half of the Midwest(Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois) is practically in the East too. Think the old settlers label the regions in the 17 or 1800's type shit. If they re-named the regions of the US today, I doubt they would consider Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois etc.. Midwest. cause if you look at a map, ain't shit West about em'. But that's how it is so it's M-Dubb on mine.

I be seein Pittsburgh on the TV show Cops, A lot be goin on in that mufucka. I think they on that Blood & Crip shit too.
I also peeped Pittsburgh, PA in the MurderDog magazine in 2001. Vol 8 #5 wit Mobb Deep on the cover. Sam Sneed(producer) from DeathRow and Joe Beast from AfterMath from Pittshburgh. Joe Beast was snappin on The Wash soundtrack. Some other local Pittsburgh rappers they featured were Ruff Chemistry, Strict Flow, The Nickel, Lone Catalysts, Da Committee, Dice, Hollow Point Clicc, Criminal Homicide Clicc
Most of the rappers was claimin Northside, Eastside, Homewood, Hill District
