photoshop help! (un-curving text)

whats the easy way to make text uncurved? the text is not written in the text function. its already rendered. i want to uncurve this text right here on this frisco shirt

scroll down a little bit until you get to the white tshirt that says "FRISCO"

the best way i uncurved it so far was by messing with the distort/perspective/and skew. i want to know if theres an easier way.

convert it to a path then mess with the anchor points. Illustrator would work even easier just make outline of the text then you could edit it.
