saw this posting on craigslist.. thought id share it here for someone looking to make some $$
The Half Moon Bay Review is looking for a talented photographer with video skills and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be flexible, with a proven ability to multitask and a nose for a good news story. We’ll need your undivided attention four days a week.
You’ll shoot everything from sports – including the world-famous Mavericks Surf Contest – to community events and hard news. You must be able to put people at ease and absolutely courageous in tackling breaking news assignments. You bring your own digital camera; we’ll provide the video equipment and vast stretches of some of the most photogenic countryside anywhere in the world.
No longer simply a weekly newspaper, the Review is consistently judged among the best of its kind in the country. We commonly update our Web site, hmbreview.com, several times a day. And we produce award-winning journalism. Last year the L.A. Times was the only paper in the state to win more awards from the California Newspaper Publishers’ Association.
There is no place in the world like Half Moon Bay. Work among giant redwoods, the roiling sea and miles of open space.
Send a cover letter, resume, four samples of your images and, if you have one, an example of a multimedia project you produced to Clay Lambert at [email protected] or PO Box 68, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
