Blackberrys are the best device out HANDS DOWN...Yes they cost more than a Sidekick but are 200% more reliable. We just got the Blackberry 8700 in and its the best shit ever...Lemme know what kind of info ya need and I'll be happy to help out

But also lemme add, be prepared to spend more money PER MONTH too....The unlimited BB plan is $40 a month...

Here are some features of the 8700 I can think of (kinda tired right now)

EDGE Highspeed
Bluetooth
High Rez screen
MMS capable
Full HTML browsing
Opens file attachments (such as Word, PDF and Excel)
U can attach up to 10 email addresses

no meelo, its $40 ON TOP of your phone plan, so you'll be spending around what you are with your kick. i'll co-sign on mark's post, i have a 7100i myself and its the best phone i've ever had. the keyboard isnt a full qwerty, but you'll get used to it fast - took me about a couple days to get used to it, so you might want to look at 7105t if you plan to stay with t-mobile.

p.s. i had a sidekick myself (both the 1 and 2) and i would have to say the kick's interface and integration between applications (web browser, email, and AIM) is superior to the blackberry. the kick's AIM is hands-down the best and its ability to multi-task is way better than the blackberry's. i cant really speak on the 8700, but thats what i noticed on mine. stability is much better on the blackberry tho, and its a much better phone (as far as reception, form, etc.) tho.

I heard the blackberry's are having some licensing issues and may not be around much longer unless they get it taken care of quickly?

Now like the article says everything should turn out aight, but why take the chance right now, when you can wait a little while longer and hopefully all is right by then.

im rockin a treo 650 and couldnt be happier. cost a pretty penny, but it does everything i need. you might consider that instead of a blackberry, becasue as someone mentioned the courts are deciding ina couple months whether to stop allowing blackberrys due to licensing issues.

I honestly don't think Blackberry is gonna go anywhere....TOO many people including government cats use em and RELY on them...RIM is just gonna hafta pay BIG bread in a settlement

As far as what Nick said I agree....The Sidekick's interface with AIM, browser etc ARE better

I been meaning to go out and get the Blackberry... so that I understand.. its the regular cost for the phone.. I pay $69.99 for like 1200 anytime and 100 texts.. which I go over errrry damn month.. and then its $40 unlimited for using the functions that the blackberry offers OUTSIDE of the phone calls.. yes?

And all u gotta do is call customer care...Im sure they'll give u the 200 extra minutes....Plus remember the Cingular plans got rollover!
