I just watched NIGHTLINE and they did a report on the mainstream beefs in the rap industry...they mentioned the 50 and GAME beef and wondered if it was all a publicity stunt to push the sales of their albums. They even mentioned the HOT 107 shooting and interviewed a female that used to work for them...she labeled the radio station as "SHOT 107" because of them encouraging rappers to vent out and diss the other rapper(s) they got beef with. NIGHTLINE also interviewed Tha Rza and asked him basically about how wrestling is similar to rap and it's true because just like wrestling, rap has been relying on "kayfabe" (a wrestling term for a planned, fake beef between people just to get some shock value and more interest just to make more $$$'s).
I really wish they interviewed Tech N9ne and asked what his thoughts were because Nightline was alot more focused on mainstream rap that focuses on the rappers that mostly rap about materialistic shit and being tough guys on their tracks. They also showed al Sharpton proposing some kind of a thing where mainstream rappers that have BEEF or "BEEF" get "suspended" in some way by the FCC because of their lyrics making some rap fans get too into the beefs, taking a rapper's side and going out hurting others or shooting each other just like how alot of gangs took sides when Biggie and Pac were beef'n. But yeah, it's kinda sad because the media focuses more on rap beefs other than the positive rap out there like JEdi Mind Tricks, Talib Kweli, Tech N9ne,etc that does NOT rap and focus on stupid shit like materialistic stuff just to promote their albums. What are you guys' thoughts??? I think the mainstream world NEEDS rappers like Tech N9ne who ain't afraid to rap about shit like divorces, abortions, anghellic, shit, etc. and do stories on them instead of BEEFS about 2 rappers that do not even match up to Tech's life and skills.

OMFG.

I never thought I would say this to anyone on this board, but shut the fuck up.

That whole Game/50 Cent beef was fuckin lame anyway, and anyone who is anyone knows that they squashed it to make money, regardless of wether or not they even hate each other- interscope was just like- "ya'll need to fuckin stop that shit, go donate a few mill's and kiss each other so ya'll can get that bread".

"I find beauty in stainless- steel it can kill and reveal the front of ya grill, ya brainless"- And you think thats "positive"?!?!? Shut the fuck up.

"They shoulda had tech n9ne".
Shut the fuck up. Nobody on Nightline has ever even heard of Tech N9ne, wat makes you think they would even try hunt him down and be like "hey, talk about rap beefs for our show!!!" Im not saying he wouldn't have any good input, but that shit just would not happen- Tech on nightline.

They focused on mainstream rappers cuz they dont even know if that beef is CREDIBLE. Rappers like Tech and his beef with Don Juan is REAL shit.

You gotta also realize that it isnt artists like tech, yuk, jedi mind, talib kweli, and the likes that is mass producing 15 year old wannabe gangsters that try to emulate everything they hear in the song. They're focusing on those artists for a reason- because they have a big influence on all their kids minds. White suburbs are full of fuckin little wannabe thugs who are just stupid as fuck, I went to school in Mt Clemens with Eminems little brother nathan- that kid is the epitome of stupid fucking whiteboy on some kinda gangster powertrip. I live 10 miles outside Detroit, and theres so many whiteboys and even black kids that live in 100,000 dollar+ houses walkin around with Detroit hats that wouldnt know a fuckin thing about survivin in the city without getting robbed or their ass beat daily. Those are the types of kids that people like G-Unit are influencing. Those are the types of people that all my boys hustle, those are the types of muthafuckaz that come by REAL G's and get their money took. Those the types of people that hustlers wont heat down cuz they dont want some little rich whiteboys parents lookin for him, hearin from their friends where the drug spot is and where to investigate the kids disapearance. Id have to say your ass is probably one of those kids. a lot of Juggalos are like that too, its just they think they're better than all the fake thugs that listen to eminem for some reason. Its a case of kid rebels against parents and does what he thinks is cool. There's people who learn about drugs, drug dealing, murder, hittin licks, robbin dudes, and just livin dirty by being introduced to the lifestyle and gettin into it for their own personal reasons. Then we have the people who learn about it by listening to rappers who talk about nothin but sellin drugs and killin people tryin to make everyone think they're hard, and the latter are what the mainstream media is getting worried about.

C'Mon now
the mainstream media, especially the record companies think of this as a gift from god (or satan)
the media puts it out there as a problem and they know doing that will only sell more records.
the gansta and bling image is a gold mine. although the time's almost up. it's gonna die out.

Not like Nightline has the greatest ratings ever. But I'm sure if they featured Tech on there to talk about his beefs with Vell Bakardy, Bakarri, Dyamund Shields and Don Juan the ratings would sink to new lows. As interesting and entertaining and REAL as they are...nobody gives a fuck about generaly unknown rapper who beefs with some NOBODY.

2 stupid posts from you today....congrats. And why in the fuck were you at home watching nightline on a friday night anyway? What the fuck?

And stop comparing Wrestling to everything under the sun.

Maybe I shoulda said "Every whiteboy's mom outside of major cities like Detroit/Houston/KC/LA and the likes are getting worried."

You know the media just has to cover shit like that, and it does help them.

But I must add although they may have their own printing presses and other shit, record companies that put out a lot of the music in question aren't a part of MAJOR media outlets like AP, Reuters, and other similar ones.
