LONDON — Quentin Tarantino will follow his two-film revenge epic "Kill Bill" with a kung-fu action title shot entirely in Mandarin, he has told a British film magazine in an interview.
Tarantino, a long-time fan of the 1970s "chopsocky" martial arts film genre, will make two versions of the movie, one with English subtitles and another with a dubbed English soundtrack, he told Total Film magazine.

Tarantino Plans Kung-Fu Film in Chinese
LONDON -- Director Quentin Tarantino says he's planning a kung-fu film with all the dialogue in Mandarin Chinese and out-of-sync English dubbing in homage to many such films in the past.
In an interview with Total Film magazine, Tarantino said he decided to do the kung-fu movie instead of "Inglorious Bastards," the working title of his long-expected movie based on World War II.
"I enjoyed shooting all the Japanese stuff in `Kill Bill' so much that this whole film will be entirely in Mandarin," he was quoted as saying.
"If you're not up to watching it with subtitles, I really want to do a full-on dubbed version," he added.

Tarantino to make film in Mandarin
Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino says his next project will be a Kung Fu movie shot entirely in Mandarin.
The martial arts fan will make two versions of the film - one with subtitles and one with a dubbed English soundtrack.
And in homage to kitsch Kung Fu films of the 1970s, the dubbing will be deliberately out of sync.
The Pulp fiction director revealed his plans in an interview with a film magazine.
He said he is putting his long-awaited Second World War epic on hold to make the Mandarin film.
"My next movie is gonna be another kung fu that's gonna blow your asses off. Everyone still thinks I'm doing Inglorious B******* next but before I do I want to do something much smaller," Tarantino said.
"The next movie will be in Mandarin. I enjoyed shooting all the Japanese stuff in Kill Bill so much that this whole film will be entirely in Mandarin.
"If you're not up to watching it with subtitles, I really want to do a full-on dubbed version. Maybe shooting two Kill Bill movies has spoiled me but f*** it - sue me."
The Reservoir Dogs director is set to start work on the as-yet-unnamed movie early next year.
