Sometimes I feel like I should broaden my horizons, and listen to something other than bay area rap. For people who are bay rap fans, what non-bay rappers, and non-rap musicians are you feeling?

I listen to rap from anywhere in the States and french rap. I also like some Funk and Soul music like Diana Ross, Temptations . I can get on some Latin music too but can't stand no rock/pop/electronic music though.

Gotta realize that there's a universe of music out there, and just keep on listenin. I was at my boys house for a BBQ and they put on some...I guess you could call it soul, where they were singing in French and Spanish, it was tight as fuck. I like rap from all over too...except watered down shit.

Eastcoast: Shyne, Nas, Cormega, AZ, Method Man, Talib Kwali, Cammron = all these eastcoast cats got lyrics for days..
Midwest: Twista, Tech N9ne = you already know what they're good at
Dirty South: Devin the Dude, BG, Scarface, Mr. Pookie, Ludacris = more laid back flows/beats

i second that...losing composure is one of my favorite albums,i still bump that shit,same goes for z-ro "the life of" which his newest release but you cant go wrong with any of his older shit either ...and while on the subject of texas,peep chamillionaire while you are at it

i had no idea Trae just dropped some new shit though,i gotta peep that,and get over to teh southern forum more often so i'm up on this shit...4 disks huh? what are they all? all new material? screwed versions?
