Southside Story has been confirmed to be Lloyd Banks' third mainstream album release. The release date has not been announced by Interscope, yet sources confirm the second quarter of 2008. The album title should not be confused with the track of the same name featured on The Hunger for More. Banks reveals he named it this because the content will come from the perspective of the "poor and hungry" Lloyd Banks, who appeared on his early mixtapes.
Southside Story will contain feature appearances from 50 Cent, Akon, Tony Yayo, Eminem, Alicia Keys, Prodigy, Obie Trice, Young Buck, & Mary J. Blige. The albums production will come from Eminem, Dr. Dre, JR Rotem, 9th Wonder, The Alchemist, Sha Money XL, Akon, Neo Da Matrix, & DJ Toomp. Lloyd Banks reveals he was "disappointed and confused" with the limited success of Rotten Apple. Banks also told XXL Magazine, that Southside Story, will feature content with more up-tempo beats and harder lyrical content. Sources confirm that Banks has been in the studio since early April, recording content for his new album. He plans to expand his lyrical prowess to other subjects and to have 50 Cent feature on three separate tracks. In a recent interview with SOHH, Banks confirmed that his album has six tracks as of now, and he will continue to work on it throughout the summer of 2007.
