New DVD's looking shitty?

Why is it that the new releases are looking pretty shitty compared to what was being put out?!

I think movie studios might be doing this on purpose to get people to switch over to HD or Blu-Ray.

I bought Transformers and it was really bad IMO same with the 300. That whole movie is animated almost it should've looked better than that. (and no it's not my TV)

Anyone else notice this on new DVD releases?

I noticed that all the new dvd's come looking the exact same.... the actual dvd that is...

there all silver....

Myabe youre contrasting the HD DVD format to DVD...and realize how shitty DVD really looks?

My DVD's look fine...of course im playing them on a $500 DVD player, so i guess that doesnt really count.

Ehhh.. that could be it. I've seen a few HD DVD's and the quality is superb. But after comparing DVD's released this year with those in the past, the quality now is sadly disappointing.
