I just heard the rough mix of several of Cognito's new tracks slated for his upcoming album. I think he's gonna suprise a whole lot of people this time out. You should not sleep on this...

Keep sleeping. Cognito has been in meetings with Jerry Heller( Legend), had deals with Mike Mosley Master P and Sony. His whole career has kept moving up and up. While people in the bay might not be jocking him because he ain't ghost riding or going dumb on stage Cognito tours the mid west, north west and down south ALL YEAR AROUND with E 40, Tech9, Andre Nickatina and sooo many others. If you think people are sleeping just because you think he ain't cracking you really are slleping. He toured Germany, has tour dates coming up in Japan and the UK and just had 3 SONGS BOUGHT for the upcoming movie "7eventy 5ive" that star's Brian Hooks and is being produced by Magic Johnsons company. It will have major promotions through Burger King, and TGI Fridays. He makes more money of his publishing rights than you can imagine. But sure....keep sleeping. Im sure Cognito is REALLY worried you sleeping on him. Check the movie trailer:

i wish there was a way that you could speak honestly on this board without getting flamed. I've seen him perform like 3 times, once in sac, once in davis and once in petaluma, and every time, i thought he was mediocre at best. He is not good live. I don't care if Cognito is the first rapper to perform in outer-fucking space, he still sucks live which means i'll never buy a record. If that's not real enough, then go see him for yourself.

you have the right to your opinion, but we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. i've seen him in concert 20 times and he has the best live show in the bay and if u do a search on siccness threads there are tons of people who agree with me. you're the first person i ever heard say he's wack in concert. he's known for his live shows. it just proves that not everyone likes the same shit.

by the way for any of you who wanna see cognito live he'll be opening up for old school legend rob base in sac and san jo next month, make sure u check it out it will be a fun time

Cognito is a very talented rapper and a great performer. Most people that dedicate their entire life to this music won't be able to match his accomplishments and knowledge of the business. I can only imagine how hard the new album is slapping and hope I'll get a sneak peak before it comes out.

I totally disagree. I saw him live about 7 months ago and he was fire. I never heard his music before I heard him that night and he left a lasting impression on me. He was damn good. He was a good entertainer up there....

You don't have to buy his record, but I just dont believe you think he is just average in concert. I have seen a lot of bay concerts and he is on top of my list (one of the best performers in my opinion).

you're 100% right, anyone who's really seen cognito in concert would never say he was wack. he really has one of the best shows in the bay. if u dont like kick ass music, high energy rap with pounding bass, as well as fine ass honey's everywhere then you wont like cognito in concert, but if u love all those things then you are gonna love seeing cognito in concert. real talk
