so i got a traffic violation the other day...there were 2 cars in front of a stop sign, one was parallel parking, moof took all of about 1 hr, and another driver behind them...so im waiting for either the guy to chop chop and parallel or the driver in front of me to simply go aorund like any normal person...so 30 seconds go by, not any of the cars are moving an inch, so i say fuck it and go around the whole fucking charade...2 blocks later 2 cops pull me over...so now im looking at a suspended drivers license...my lawyer said for a fee he could review the sitiation and help me or i could take it to court and fight it, hopefuly the cops dont show...

heres my Q.

if i take it to court, what will i say to the judge?i didnt do it?if the cops show then what do i do?say im sorry?

how beneficial is it to have a lawyer in a minor incident like this...i need my license bad...so actually forking over 2 or 3 benjamins to further my chances of not getting my license revoked would be worth it.

what do you think?

For just a minor violation such as this, I would fight it or admit to the infraction and pay a lesser fine, HOWEVER since you’re saying that your license will be suspended IMMFO you should use your lawyer.

Every time I used a lawyer, I got the shit dropped…EVERY TIME (I’ve had A LOT of tickets, mostly speeding).

I was about 50/50 or worse when I represented myself (before I could afford lawyer).

ive argued one ticket and i did it myself, even though it was a bullshit ticket, the judge sided with the cop and i lost...there were 2 people who brought lawyers and they lost too...it really depends on the judge though...hopefully the cop wont show up but chances are they will, they get paid for 4 hours even if the case takes 5 minutes.....

^^Bad idea homie. Take it from me, someone who had a suspended license (due to NOT paying high-risk insurance) and got arrested for it (about 5-6 years ago). Everyone thinks they’re “going to be careful” but as you know, cops can pull you over just as easy when you’re not doing anything wrong as they can when you are.

I've never had a cop show on me. All of those were stereo tickets, and I only bump on the freeways.

Once I was a no show, that ticket really jacked up my insurance, by $1000 more a year. One speeding ticket. Damn...
