Got in a motorcycle accident a few months back... Handle bar went into my leg and I was in a wheel chair for a month... Today the Insurance guy offered me $16,000 + They pay medical bills... Would you take this? I've talked to a lawyer recently but he hasn't mentioned how much he thinks I could get. Any ideas?

you gotta weigh your options

if you take it you'll prolly get the money faster but you could be missing out on alot more

if you try tog et more you could end up getting the same but having to pay a lawyer or you might not get the money for a long time

i say if you think you actually deserve more money for the pain and hardship you went through then try to get more but if you cant even convince yourself that you should get more then dont even waste your time

i would say its not enough, unless your medical bills are close to 80k
when i get involved in some kind of accident and i gotta deal with insurers, i always ask for 100k - medical bills.... it works

i would of sued for $90,000, i know somebody that got injured at campbell soup company and sued for $100,000 and got paid,,,,u could get alot more than $16,000

depends on the severity of ur injuries!,...all injuries are worth different,..depending on ur flexibility and how much u can still do shit and move and how much u really did get affected by the injury!....but yea,like homie said,..if u ask for more then ur gonna have to wait longer to get paid,..it can last up to another year!...if u go to ur own dr. and get a different opinion then from the insurance dr.,..and if he says ur really fucked up then its ur dr.s word against theres,and then they might have to pay you!..but yea,..hope it works out,...

p.s-...now a days ,in this day in age,..16,000 g'z aint shit and wont last 6 months!

hold out and get more....i got in an accident where a dude ran a red light and hit me and was dumb enough to just take tha first offer i got then upon receiving my checc tha fucc tard lawyer tells me If i would have held out 6 months longer i could have gotten twice that.....
