It was released in 1992 on 12" Vinyl and cassette. Label was Explicit Records down in Santa Monica, CA.
P.C.P. use to kick it with two of the old school chicano groups "Proper Dos" and "Juvenile Style" back in the early 90's.

That's strange, because I've never seen it on CD or tape and I can't seem to find it anywhere/Internet/stores and etc. I've only known it to be on cassette tape. Never heard of it on CD at all. Do you have it on CD or Tape? If so, post it up on the thread. I would like to see how it looks. I've only heard of it and was told that it was a tape only release, so this is the first that I've heard of a CD version. Does anybody have a picture of either formats? I heard that the album is hella tight? I'm thinking about gettin it off my peoples. I haven't even seen a listing/name entry on amazon, half.com, gemm.com, musicstack.com, ebay.com or any other internet sites.

I ask this because I just off the phone with my peoples/the people who distributed "Smoov Black Poetz - Party Iz Live" and they verified that it wasn't made on CD and that it came out on February 1st, 1995 and that in fact it is a "TAPE ONLY" Release. The name of the company is "Bouncin Ball". I'm sure that they would know their own product, since it's their record company? That's solves that part of the mystery, since "Party Iz Live" is their 1995 release, not 1998. He/my peoples at "Bouncin Ball" told me that if their are CD's of this floating around, they are pirated/bootlegs, because they haven't given anybody the go ahead to put this album on CD. Thanks for trying to help me out anyways.

i jus remembered seein the cd on ebay few times while back , also 15.000 copies is alot for a tape only release thats what made me think it was on cd too.i mean why u makin a thread about it if u already got all correct informations that u need?

1.) You didn't remember shit, because it's a "Tape Only" from 1995. Like Zin said the 1995 album is the "Tape Only" version and the guy who I'm getting it from stated that as well. The album that was made on CD isn't the album titled "Party Iz Live", because that title is from 1995, not the 1998. From what I understand, they did have an album come out on CD, but it wasn't the one/Party Iz Live that I was asking about.
2.) I made the thread over the weekend, because I wasn't gettin any of this information due to it being the weekend. People do have lives around this place. Just because you don't...it doesn't mean that the next man doesn't either. My contact wasn't available when I wanted to know. He just gave me a list of CD's and tapes that he had, but no information on them. Now it's Monday and I was able to get ahold of him and ask him. You provided me with enough information to ask him about this title. Thanks!:lick:

Hell, even I was bumpin' a coo' ass "Alpine Pull-Out Deck" in my Lac back in those days. He/Sabotage really didn't and still doesn't know that his album was considered a Classic.

7.) BMW sold well over 15,000 of their "Gangsta From The Underground" albums through City Hall as well. You can't find not one copy of that album in either format either. Can you? Didn't think so. Do you know how many muthafuccas sold thousand upon thousand of their albums back in the day and nobody can't find a copy today? Didn't think so. Heck Mello-Mar, Morroco Moe, Street Stories, so busy, RTD, Mac Dre, The Click and etc. sold thousands too, but you don't see those every day. Your claims are always based on assumptions not facts.

I aint buy them shits, but to my recollection my homie ripped them from audio cd, he didnt have any tape ripping equipment at that time..or so I thought...ill check the quality of the album, but I really dont remember if it sounded from a tape or not..
