I'm on my laptop and haven't used my piece of shit desktop in a few days. But when I turned it on today, it loads up and restarts buy itself, then it loaded again and restarted by itself again and keeps going. Any ideas why this shit is happening?
1. Go into your sys BIOS and make sure the boot sequence is configured properly (ie. CD-ROM first - and that an HD has even been designated).
2. Load up your [floppy] boot-disk, and run scan-disk.
You can also browse your the disk manually by installing another HD as MASTER and your problem HD as slave - this will allow you to look over the disk without using any files contained on it.
#2 is the best option and usually explains what the problem is.
