What's up with Nas' upcoming LP Hip-Hop Is Dead ... The N (see "Nas Says Hip-Hop Is Dead — New Album Due In September")? Def Jam said the album has a tentative November release date. Nas' camp said he's still in the lab working and everyone is pleased with the quality so far.

And Nas said fans should get ready.

"It's totally a blessing, man," he said late last week in New York. "We're gonna stomp them, man. I think a few people gonna ride with me. Everywhere I go, they're talking about [the album]. It's gonna be crazy. It's another level straight up."

Nas, who was out on the town celebrating his wife Kelis' birthday last week, also confirmed that he and the Game have been recording together and are sitting on fire.

"We got a crazy joint," he said. "I was thinking about just putting that out as a single. That's how crazy it is." ...

Nas is decent nothing great. Game is your average rapper that made it do to a good marketing gimmick (50 Cent Beef) There are plenty of rappers to show hip hop isnt dead.

Vast, Vordel, Koopa, Slim Thug, Cam'ron. Tons of people. Leave it to Nas to always say something that is only half true.

lol he said slim thug & cam'ron...that's funny. those 2 arent even close to being on nas' level...& comin from me, that means somethin, cuz i don't like nas at all. i don't know those other 3 names you mentioned tho, so i can't comment on them.

The Game is more then a average rapper you must not heard his mixtapes and that 50 beef didnt make him rich he sold over 5 million way before he beefed with 50 so you gotta respect him. And his new song ONE BLOOD (ITS OKAY) is a hot ass track.

Dont trip on Rob....he has weird taste when it comes to rap...he thinks MC Eiht is the greatest "MC's" of all time...and he'll tell you that too...

Nas is one of the greatest lyricists of all time..point blank...anyone who cant admit that...aint a real hip-hop fan....no ifs,ands or buts about it....

Your right, but I dont think Eiht is the greatest, hes one of, but only to his 2nd Solo album. After that his beats went soft and he rapped about the same things. I think that D.E., Del, Vast, Doom, Cam'ron and others are all better then Nas and the Game. I just dont feel either of those two rappers enough to buy their cds. I have heard enough mix tapes from Game. And have heard almost all of Nas catalog. Thats not to say that I dislike their raps. Nas is a good lyricist and Game is just your average ordinary rapper he really doesnt stick out. X-Raided would tear Game in half. I think that Raided is the King of the West right now because of all the time he has put into the rap game. Sure you can say Easy, Cube, Ren, Mc Eiht and other like these guys are Kings but their reign is over. None of the rappers that I mentioned have put out a hit in a long time. Raided puts out tight lyrics that I have heard within the past couple of years. To me he is the King of the West. As far as Nas is concerned yeah he put out Illmatic thats his best album ever. Doom is way better thent that by far. But see the point is this is my opinion. I know my Hip-Hop and how rap has evolved from its orgin of breaking, DJing and the likes. Do I think Hip Hop is fading? Yes but back to the underground where it is best. Notice rappers like Slim Thug are underground. Do I think he is a lyricist with complex rhymes? No but he is original. And some shit he says is very ill. Everyone is entitled to their opinion much like Nas is. Do I respect Nas and Game? Yes, but they are not in the top 5 greats of all time.
