here goes three of Mine:

Yukmouth- United Ghettos of America
Yukmouth comes HARD AS FUCK throughout the whole cd and shows his versatility as an MC as he got away from his thugged out screaming style he ran with for several years. The material is very original, and the beats done by Don Juan, Lil Ron, EA Ski, Brotha Lynch and others were unique but well done and compliment Yukmouth to the fullest. Tracks like Top Thug and Gangsta show Yuk keepin it real while Fuck Friends shows his battle skills and Desparado show his ability to spit story raps and showcase his flow. Welcome 2 Da Bay could have easily been a 5 on It radio classic. The guest appearences by Young Noble, Richie Rich, Lil Ron, Knumskull, Lynch and others fit perfectly.

Done Deal Fam- Runs in the Fam
San Quinn, Fully Loaded, and Willie Henn showcased their lyrical capability throughout the cd. The beats by the Done Deal production crew (Sirate, Mr. Peete, Icy Mike, Dunce) were original and knocked hard, I especially like the fact that several of the tracks like Burnerz and Throwawayz were not looped and changed throughout the song. The production crew also produced several original tracks like What I Please. The guest appearences from the crew, Submarine Funk, D Fresh and FFSC were solid and the Riddla even stole the spotlight from Quinn on You Got Flamed.

Mac Mall- Mackin Speaks Louder than Words
Mac Mall brings back his pimpish style from the YBB days that he left at home on Immaculate and IB2000. His spits, though not as thought provoking and intellgent still shine with tight guest appearences from Sleep Dank some bitch and of course Mac Dre's reunion track "Macaframa." The production from Femi was especially top notch and ground breaking, but the other producers including Khayree brought heat as well. Although the content of the cd lacked the originality of lyrics Mall brought while working with Khayree the wait for the album was well worth it and picking it up is a must.

AP-9 "Military Mindstate"
-on the same level as "Headshotz".production was perfect and the lyrics were his best.

Submarine Funk "Livin in the Free"
-original production and lyrics meshed well.mr.sirate is one of the most underrated producers in the Bay right now(in my opinion).plus, they're two filipino rappers.not too many of those around which make them stand out

Equipto "It Hurts So Good"
-my favorite rapper.album had more of a hip hop sound but was diggin everything about it.production and lyrics were top notch

honorable mention:

I feel you on that. My problem with the Submarine funk album was that it was so inconsistent though. I mean, 3/4 of the beats were dope, and they'd complement other rappers well but I really wasnt feeling GB and Sirates lyrics throughout the whole thing...they come hard on the DDFam album and other albums they been on but they didnt really bring a lot to the table on their own...but I definitely agree Sirate got some heat on the beats.

Yukmouth - United Ghettos Of America
I remember looking at the upcoming CD releases on that Westside 2000 site all the way back in January. The original release date was supposed to be in February, but it didnt come out till November so I was basically waiting almost a year for this one. It came out and was everything I expected. Yuk is getting even more professional in his overall sound. The features on the CD are tight and well picked. Favorite track is the first one or Welcome 2 Da Bay.

Woodie - Life Storiez
Ever since I heard Norte Sidin and N The Bay a few years ago, Ive always been a big Woodie fan. But I never bought too many official East Co Co releases (like ne1, ne2, etc). With the release of Life Storiez (Greatest Hits CD sort of), im convinced that Woodie and Lil Los and Lou E Lou are some of the most heated rappers in the nation. The quickness and relevance of the lyrics seen in songs like Dirty Deeds and Take My Soul (my favorite woodie song right now) show that they are extremely skilled. I cant WAIT for NE5 and Louie's solo CD.

C-Bo - West Coast Mafia
While I dont like it as much as Enemy Of The State or Casket, this album by C-Bo is still heated as fuck. Party Tonite and Can U Deal With This are instant classic songs. It was more of a compilation CD than a solo Bo Loc CD, but that didnt matter at all, most of the features were way tight.

Runners Up:
Brotha Lynch & Doomsday - The Plague
Xzibit - Man Vs. Machine
Mac Mall - Mackin' Speaks Louder Than Words
