First of all I want everyone to know about my nigga Dontrelle Willis who is scheduled to make his major league debut on the mound this Friday. Me and this nigga went to the same high school (Encinal High in Alameda). He's got some real talent and he's juiced up. Man he's ready. I'm excited for him. He will be going against Colorado in Florida. Man that last thread I put up had some heated replies. It's kinda funny reading this shit.

The only issue with the lack of fellow African Americans in baseball today has to do with the lack of baseball leagues in the inner cities. It's surprising that more players don't come out of the big cities around the bay like San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose. I was lucky to play in Alameda where the competition was good and baseball is popular especially with African Americans. To me, it's not that big of a deal. Some of your were asking about the relationships with me and my teammates and music etc. We all get along very good now that Scott Rolen is gone. It's no secret that he wasn't a part of us, he was on his own. Usually we switch off with the music in the clubhouse. I be bumpin all the bay area shit and most of them love it even the Venezuelans and other latins. If people don't like the music then they usually have their own thing goin with their headphones and whatnot. It's not that big of a deal in our clubhouse because we all get along and there's no one above the rest.

I got some more private messages from some folks about their fantasy teams. Like I said in an earlier post Thome's wrist has been sore but he'll pick it up like he did the other day. I'll pick up more stolen bases for yall! don't trip! and I heard one song from Kobe Saz. I don't feel like hatin but that sounded horrible. I heard one song with Young Droop that sounded horrible. That was the worst production I've ever heard! A couple questions: How do you put pictures etc. in the little box under your posts? How do you get a title under your name? Why does it say peasent under mine? Thanks yall.

Man, your the first big leaguer on the siccness. Im sure Vamps will give you a title name, usually only artists (music), on the rise (Up and comers in music) people who help out with the site get personalized titles under their name. the rest of us who jsut post on here as fans start off as 'Peasants' then after 500 posts we move up to 'Noble', and after 1000 posts we get 'Knight'.

you ever figure out where we can send you some bay shit? let it be known, and you'll get hooked up.

Everybody also wants to know, who you like more, A's or Giants? Im a hardcore Cubs fan, so i dont care, but most of the peeps on the site want to know. I know you dont want to face Prior or Wood so its cool, LOL, just fucking with you.

Keep it up, and keep checking up with the siccness. you doin big thangs

This is the best I could do. Dontrelle told me on monday that he was getting moved up. Read the article from the marlins website. Relax man. Ya I play in the league. And yes this is me. You want my address or social security number or something. Chill out with that shit. It's kinda funny how half of yall are always accusing people of having fake identities and shit. Half of the posts I read are directed towards chubbybadguy. The guy doesn't always have the smartest things to say and doesn't make much sense. haha. What's the story behind that guy, what did he do?

Injuries force pitching staff changes
Marlins expected to dip into minor league system
By Joe Frisaro / MLB.com

MIAMI -- An injury-depleted rotation has the Marlins looking within to fill out their starting staff.
Before Tuesday's game against the Giants at Pro Player Stadium, the Marlins are expected to dip into their minor league system and promote either left-hander Dontrelle Willis from Double-A Carolina or right-hander Nate Bump from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Both are big-league ready, says team director of player development Marc DelPiano.

Whichever pitcher gets the nod will likely start Friday at home against the Rockies.

Of the two, Willis has the higher upside. But is the 21-year-old ready to make the big jump?

He may have to be?

"He's ready, he's throwing the ball really well," DelPiano said. "Dontrelle has been exceptionally good."

The energetic Willis impressed the Marlins in Spring Training with his high-voltage approach. He's a fast operator on the mound, eager to work quickly so his defense isn't standing around.

He has a deceptive herky-jerky delivery that is especially difficult for left-handed hitters to pick up.

If given the chance, Willis embraces the opportunity.

"Everyone in the minor leagues, period, dreams of playing in the big leagues," Willis said Monday. "Everyone feels they can play."

It didn't take long for the Marlins to embrace his style and enthusiasm. He even went above-and-beyond running the bases, attempting a head-first slide into home in an exhibition against the Expos. He was tagged out, and afterwards he heard an earful from just about everyone in the organization warning him not to think about head-first slides.

On the mound, he's shown the ability to dominate. His fastball has been clocked at 93 mph, and his pitches have a lot of movement.

Willis scores highly on scouting reports with a very good fastball and changeup and a solid slider.

"What separates Dontrelle," DelPiano says, "is he has command of three pitches."

What Willis lacks, however, is innings pitched at a higher level.

In 12-months he's gone from low Class-A to Class-A and now he is 4-0 (1.49) at Double-A.

At the start of Spring Training, the Marlins were contemplating whether to start Willis off in Class-A Jupiter or Double-A.

"Considering they were thinking of starting me off in Class-A Jupiter, pitching in Double-A is an honor," Willis said. "To me, pitching in the big leagues seems far fetched. Even if I get there, it will feel far fetched because these are the best players in the world."

He finished up the 2002 season going 2-0 (1.80 ERA) in five games at Jupiter. Before that he was 10-2 (1.83 ERA) at Class-A Kane County. He threw a total of 157 2/3 innings a year ago.

After combining on a 12-2 (1.83), Willis was named Sports Weekly Minor League Pitcher of the Year for all levels.

"I've thrown a lot of innings already," Willis says. "The one thing about pitchers is they never can throw enough innings [in the minors]."

The Marlins acquired Willis last March 27 as part of the trade that sent pitchers Antonio Alfonseca and Matt Clement to the Cubs for Julian Tavarez.

The only reason I went on this site was to stay updated on the latest in the bay area rap scene. I didn't come on here to talk about baseball or any shit like that. Today is an OFF DAY. We got plenty of free time on an off day. I'm not above yall or anything, I'm a fan like yall, that's why I'm here. Check what you want, believe what you want, I am who I am. I probably won't be on here anymore because I can't even talk about music without someone bringing up some other shit. I'm down to talk to everyone about baseball or whatever but yall don't think I'm "the real Jimmy" I think this is funny how yall are trying to investigate some shit like this. Yall are trippin for real. I guess you guys think I'm in the big leagues so I don't have any time and I wouldn't be on some message board on the internet. Like I said before, I'm just like you, I'm a fan of the music. Peace.

To the rappers who sent me private messages: I'm gonna get you that info, don't trip. Thanks.
