I just bought a pretty hot dvd here which has almost 50 rap music videos. While
playing/watching my favorite songs/videos on my television, it hit me like
a ton of bricks: THIS IS THE FUTURE. All artists of the future will probably
release their albums as dvds with the videos included. That way the consumer
can watch and/or listen to the album. Already, DVD players are almost as cheap
as cd players and play both dvds and cds. Also, the manufacturing costs for a
dvd is about the same as that for a cd. Being able to watch the video which
I want to watch when I want to watch it is just as important to me and everyone
else as listening to the music that I want to hear when I want it. Hence,
the rising mp3 market. I hate having to wait for BET, MTV, or other video
shows to play my favorite videos in order to see them as much as waiting on
the various radio stations to play my favorite songs. Music Video Dvds is
definitely the future.

I don't know. I think (most of) these videos are hot. All of the old ones are classics (like Biggie's Warning and Eric B, Rakim's Paid in Full). The new ones are still stingin (like Dem Boyz, Mike Jones, Game, and Damian Marley). I'm from the East coast, so maybe it's a coastal thang.
