Ichiro was batting .177 on April 18th...he's now batting .366(2nd in the majors) and leads the majors in hits(102)...and is batting .417 since April 18th...wowzers....

On another note...Felix Hernandez is finally lookin like the pitcher everyone thought he'd be....check out his line from todays game..

Complete game

9 SO
94 pitches
73 for strikes
only went to a 3 ball count TWICE in the whole game
was throwin his fastball for 97+ AFTER the 8th inning

It's June bro...The A's hardly EVER lose in June. Check the statistics...the proof is in the pudding. The M's are runnin' into the A's at the wrong time, unfortunately, for your team. :devious:

Game 1: Moyer vs. Blanton
Game 2: Piniero vs. Haren
Game 3: Washburn vs. Zito

The Mariners might take game 1, depending on how Blanton is looking, but the A's are probably gonna take at least two out of three.

Blanton ROCKED us last time we met him...he threw a spectacular game against us...as did Zito....

Theres no doubt that both teams are on fire right now...Moyer had a bad outing last time he was on the mound....but all the other pitchers have been doin their part....Piniero was a bit rocky his last start...which means he'll come out strong this outing....

the last 9 games....the M's are hitting over.300....

Over the past 11 games (before tonight) the A's had the best pitching in the AL, the Mariners had the best hitting in the AL.

Pitching > Hitting

How about Huston Street getting out of a bases loaded jam with no outs in the top of the 9th against the 4/5/6 hitters...

Looks like he's finally back and injury-free.

^He pitched well against Texas twice this season, too... I think he just threw a shutout recently against KC... I think he's always done well against the AL West though.

Sweep! And Seattle is brought back down to Earth...

That's the second sweep in a row, 9 out of 10 and Oakland & Texas are tied for first for now... If Texas beats Chicago tonight, Texas will be up by a half a game... If they lose, they fall back to second place.
