These are also something I've been promising for awhile. Gangsta Nutt, from West Seattle, released an album this summer called "Checkmate." In a lot of ways I think it has been overshadowed by the other outstanding local albums (Lac of Respect, Tha Loco, Red Head Steve come to mind) that dropped this summer.
G-Nutt has got heat, this album contains his best production up to date and he also learned how to settle down his lyrics a little. The product was an album that Guy & Glenn down at ARS were excited about (and they don't get excited about local albums very often). It is a double cd with th e first CD containing 18 tracks of straight G-Nutt with some features. The bonus disc is a 9 track G-Nutt & 151 cd. 151 spits some real sweet verses on these tracks (including the verse in my sig) and there are some tight beats. I won't post a song from that CD b/c 151 posts on here everyonce in a while and I don't want to make him mad and I want you all to go buy this album. Anyway, to the cuts in YouSendIt format....
Let me know what you think of the tracks and if you are feeling them you really need to go purchase this album at ARS Columbia City (big green building at Rainier & Alaska, right diagonal from Rainier Playfield). There are many more slumps on there, this is just a small sampling.
Gangsta Nutt - King of 206 (snippet)
This is a great Seattle anthem song with a sicc chorus, definitely a track you can bump and feel good about the town to.
