This is what B-12 had to say about the mixtape and his "rap" career...

I dont really rap no more and rapping has become secondary to my career as a music biz exec...however, sometimes we still have things we want to get off of our chests....so iz the case with my mixtape NOT RICH, STILL RIDIN'...as you can tell from the time, its a play off of 50 Cent's classick GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN'..I even jacked the cover and 12 of my favorite instrumentals off of that album. I have never claimed to be an amazing rapper or lyricist, choosing to devote staying true to reality rather than trying to portray the "Rapper image" of fast cars, big rims, money, hoes and clothes. The truth is, I've done alot in my life and career but what stands out is to myself at least is the fact that I have never tried to be the "hardest" gangsta or "realest" muthafucka. I am me...B-12...love me or hate me...alot of people know how I GET DOWN...and I aint talking about edited videos of me getting poked in the eye! lol...

Now, even with being an artist mostly being a part of my past, this mixtape iz reflective of how I wuz feeling at this particular time in late 2006 early 2007 in the midst of a lot of hating on myself and my homeboy A-WAX because of a particular stance he took on certain thingz that were wrong in rap and with certain "rapperz"...anyway, hope you enjoy it...if you don't...IT WUZ FREE so who givez a fuck right? check us out....www.myspace.com/therealb12 and www.urbantunes.net and www.youtube.com/awaxtv and myspace.com/waxfase and www.a-wax.com

from oakdale mob hp frisco...from what I know he went 415 blood in CYA in the early 90's this is well documented. Not a "trendy" dude. He keeps it to himself mostly outside of his music...very professional and more ont he biz shit
