I dont understand Rydah, Hus and Fed-X. Im guessing there is still interest and demand for their albums, maybe not as much as 3 or 4 years ago, but still a significant amount of people that would pay for their music which would equal money. Even if they have other things going on you would think they would want to capitalize on that.

I guess maybe music sales are so bad it makes more sense to just get cashed out for verses for a duo album and have someone else do the rest of the work.

With that said I am going to check out this new Rydah project even though im not into Philthy's music.

Heres my best answer to your first statement:

1. Rydah - His rap mentor was murdered in 04 then his good homeboy J-Cash was murdered a couple years later. Prolly hard to keep your heart in it after that for multiple reasons I won't speculate on.

2. Hus - did 2 years for a interstate drug trafficking some after his little bit he is prolly playin the background like wallpaper cuz I'm sure plenty of real cats want his neck. Plus all the people he rapped with other than AP9 don't want to associate with him.

3. Fed - X - Got shot in the fuckin crown out in Vallejo so we can all guess the lingering effects of that not to mention the shit I pointed out for Rydah.

A lotta reasons outside of possible rap profits that might keep people off the frontline of this bay rap scene imo

it was all eyes on hus when he got out and he kinda squandered anything that coulda been. he coulda been like the og of the bay area weirdo eccentric slap movement (cause honestly he influenced it a lot) that all these kids are finding success w/but he slept on that opportunity.

Rydah suppose to have 6, yes 6 albums droppin' this year! All apparently done..... Mob Figaz management said Hus has had his official album done for a minute now, they sayin' it's WAY doper than "Dope Guns & Religion" aswell as "Huslin' Since The 80's" according to PK those were both albums thrown together just to keep Hus in the fans ears. Fed-X also has an album that's done and suppose to be droppin' in February under Bern One Ent. apparently the production on this album is INSANE! & that's all i've heard..... so good news for Mob Figaz fans!

All of that makes sense. I see what you are saying. Except the Hus part. But hey, if he wanna play soccer instead more power to him. I agree completely with what antilabs said on him squandering and opportunity.

As far as those solos dropping this year (6 albums? yeah right, try making one good one) i would like to see it but i'm not holding my breath

I just assumed Hus was trying to get into production instead of rap since the biggest thing he's done since he got out was the Nickatina track he produced with Roblo. I dont know a motherfucking thing about his case, and i could really give a fuck less, but is having "real motherfuckers after your neck" really the most likely reason for wanting to switch up from rapping to other aspects of the music industry, like production. Rapping is--generally--a young mans game, so if you want to be involved in music and you arent a kid anymore its probably a good idea to branch out.
