Ruth hasn't been celebrated by MLB in a long time. Mentioned is not the same as celebrated.

That's nothing but speculation.

Anyway, it's second place, it doesn't matter that much.

^^^^now cmon, maybe they dont talk about ruth that much, but my point is that theyre blackballing the guy before theyve fully convicted him of anything...there are sportswriters who are already saying "i wont vote for him into the hall of fame"...its straight bullshit. for them to come out and say that they wont celebrate ANYTHING for him is just hate. they just hate the guy.

and passing ruth is a big deal.

also, its like, if they want to make this guy out to be the worst guy in baseball, my point about bringing up ruth is that there are many, many players in the HOF with worse histories than Bonds. Tris Speaker was in the KKK, for example.

Why should the MLB celebrate him getting the second place record?

Besides, nobody but Giants fans give a fuck, he gets booed EVERYWHERE he goes... The Giants can celebrate it if they want to.

Yeah, I know he hasn't been convicted of anything, but come on. Seriously. Everybody knows.

lol, i dont trust fans anywhere else because its like the american public, they believe anything the media feeds them. the media hates him (whether or not he brings it on himself) and everyone just buys it up. no one has their own individual opinion. the trend is just to hate him. and the thing is, if they really believe they he did steroids, they need to convict EVERYBODY involved in the cheating, but they wont.

and this is the greatest feat in baseball. we accept the fact that he was walked 232 times in one season, as if thats not something to look down upon, playing the game that way, but we'll just accept the fact that he did steroids.

im not saying he didnt or he did, thats not the point to me...its unfair scrutiny and treatment and its rediculous. but its easier to point the finger, i guess.
