-After experiencing an initial burst of negative activity buoyed by the kind of ecstatic hate acclaim that critics have always lavished on him, oft-beleaguered singer/songwriter/rapper/actor/punk bitch slapper Michael Jackson, whose Thizz release album debut, 'Reppin Tha West 2 Tha Fullest,' comes out Today. Michael and his camp decided to drop the long awaited album on the day of his verdict so he can get all the free publicity he can. While on trial Michael has been hitting the hustings, reintroducing himself to the Bay Area audience via heavy touring, and finally settling into a more regular recording/release cycle.
Early sessions with long time producer One Drop were scrapped and Michael went back into rehearsals as a group before attempting the album for a second time with new producer Gee Street.
Reppin Tha West was scheduled to hit shelves Months ago but the album, which features collaborations with Mac Ray, Spiderr Loc and the up and coming group Tha Hyfee Boys among others, will now be released today after the Trial.
Michael told Bayareabooty.com "Writing is what I've been doing all day, every day, Yadidimean. It’s been quite turbulent.I've been through a lot of shit, Yadidimean? Niggas sayin I'm sippin Jesus Juice with lil cancer having niggas. Niggas got they Mommas and my Ex Staff taking the stand pointing E.T. Fingers at me sayin Im molesting boys. On Citas my nigg, not one sonofabitch asked me or Bubbles our opinions. Let it be known, I only sip Heem and 211 Steel Reserve. It took me a long time to realise that I had to return to the Bay Area and represent for my block niggas, so I called up Thizzy Gillespie and made plans to go into a rehearsal room again."
Michael continued: "We’ve got some fucking slap. That’s one thing we are sure of. R.I.P to my Nigga D.R.E., Yadidimean? You know he's known for giving niggas new names. One day we was kickin it listening to the OFF THE WALL Album and he just started giggin visciously and I joined in doing my steps from the Smooth Criminal video and instantly he changed my name from Jackson to Slapson. Papa Joe didn't like it much but I went bad on tha nigga whenever he expressed his opinion"
