For RB Laurence Maroney, New England gets Denver's fourth-round pick in 2011 and Denver gets New England's sixth-round pick in 2011.

so we get rid of a 4th for maronewy and a 6th..I'll take it. hes miles ahead better than Buckhalter, and he knows this offense better then all our backs combined

Broncos acquired RB Laurence Maroney from the Patriots in exchange for undisclosed compensation.
It was clear after preseason action that Maroney wasn't going to have a significant role in New England this season. Knowshon Moreno played well in his return to action Sunday, but the Broncos have serious depth concerns. Maroney has a history with coach Josh McDaniels, so he can plugged right in as the early-down backup. We suspect the trade says more about Correll Buckhalter, showing signs of decline and coming off a neck/back injury, than Moreno. Sep. 14 - 4:05 pm et
