I watched a show on Discovery tonite called Cracking The Ocean Code about new genomes in the ocean that could possibly do some very good to humans and earth itself. Shit was crazy and very informative. Just watching how they crack DNA codes of these organisms is wild to say the least.

Here is another one that is newer, this one is a more of a news conference.

Why?

And its Venter...
Move silently in the night.

Avoid detection.

If an enemy spots you, elude him.

If he chases you, dispose of him quietly.

If he alerts his compatriots, return again another time.

The silent blade is the sign of ninjitsu.

This is what he has accomplished...dont knwo if its legit or not, but that is what the special was on.

1. He hasn't achieved all that, his grad students, post-docs and research scientists did it while he spent his time on snobbish cocktails and parties raising money for his private research enterprise

2. Many people in the scientific community think that the "Me-me-me" approach to genomics and science pioneered by Venter is not going to lead us to anything good

^^^^Gotcha.

Dont you think that alot of REALLY smart people have the same attitude as a really good athlete or a super star celebrity? Snobbish or arrogant?
you don't get the point

Venter is a sell-out, that's why real scientists don't like him:ermm: :ermm:

it has nothing to do with how smart he is
