While the name Marco Polo probably doesn't ring any bells (musically wise...), you've been hearing the Toronto native for a while now. Whether it's on Masta Ace's A Long Hot Summer album or the new Boot Camp Click release, or with his much respected crew The Beat Society. Marco Polo has definitely been busy, however his soon to come debut release titled 'Port Authority' can only mean things will get even busier for this talented beatmaker now residing in New York.
'Port Authority' which Polo says was a labor love for him which he's spent a little over three years perfecting, is set for releaes on the first of May. This isn't just a compilation Polo likes to think of the album in the vain of Pete Rock's Soul Survivor series, and from the tracklisting there's certainly potential for the release to be exactly that.

1.) Port Authority Intro f/O.C.
2.) Get Busy f/ Copywrite
3.) Marquee f/ O.C.
4.) War f/Kardinal Offishall
5.) Nostalgia f/ Masta Ace
6.) The Wrong One f/ Wordsworth
7.) Low Budget All Stars f/ Kev Brown, Kenn Starr, Oddisee, Cy Young & Kaimbr
8.) Speak Softly f/ Jo Jo Pellegrino
9.) Time And Place f/ Ed O.G.
10.) The Radar f/ Large Professor
11.) All My Love f/ Jaysaun
12.) Lay It Down f/ Roc Marciano of The U.N.
13.) Go Around f/ Buckshot
14.) Hood Tales f/ Kool G. Rap & DV Alias Khryst
15.) Heat f/ Supastition
16.) Rollin f/ Sadat X, AG & Ju Ju of The Beatnuts
17.) For The Future f/ Critically Acclaimed
18.) Relax f/ J. Davey "Relax" (Bonus Track)

Oh I failed to mention one key fact, 'Port Authority' will be released on Rawkus Records. Which is another contributing reason to why the once legendary label is definitely on it's way back up to being a powerhouse once again. Along with Marco Polo's debut, Rawkus will also be releasing Naledge's (of Kidz In The Hall) debut solo album, Guru's latest installment in the Jazzmatazz series Vol.4, Panacea's sophomore album 'Scenic Route', Hezekiah's new album 'Predict A Riot' & 10 years after the first 'Soundbombing' release we'll be seeing Volume 4 soon as well.

So just in case you were wondering where Rawkus was, there you have it.

You can check two of the tracks from the album on there as well, track 4 & 14.
