The last color scheme we used was blue and grey, I would still like to use the same color scheme. Not many ideas right now but it must be corporate professional. Our last logo displayed our hood sign so as a company thats growing I'm trying to step away from that. Create a more universal image that the next man could represent without feelin he has to be from our hood to represent. Kind like P did when he changed his company from TRU Records to No Limit. I'm still diggin a gangsta image I'm just looking for it to be more corporate & more universal. Hope this helps pimp, feel free to hit me on the Celly if you have any other questions. 602-390-1140

what the fuck.... man when you create someones logo you are giving them an identity and image thats why its corporate identity...50 bucks most people whip their ass with $50 of toliet paper
I hear you pimp but were not talkin as if this company is Sears, Walmart, or something to that effect. We talking about a record label that is swimming in crowded waters and the odds of breaking even let alone being successful are slim to none. With that in mind why should I pay someone 150 to 300 for a company logo. Think about it. You start a record company. Your recording in your basement. You work 9-5 just the keep the lights on. From 7 to 12 is when you start this job, the record label. Wouldn't the money be served more going towards the label versus a company logo? Especially if the company logo is 150 to 300 not including an extra 300 to trademark it? I mean its clearly common sense.

You bring up another interesting point. People whipping their asses with $50 of toliet paper. How long will it take you and yours to clear $50 of TP? Mine maybe a good 6 months thats if I buy the 5.99 kind for 24 rolls every two weeks. Im presenting a job where you probably spend 2 hours putting together for 50 chucks, nearly $25 per hour. $25 per hour is bad in these times, damn.

^ Your point is not valid...Ever heard of the term "YOU GOTTA SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY". Ever thought that these people (Designers) do this for a living and also need to pay bills. Did you know freelance shit has ups and downs? Its chumps like you that make me sick. Shell out $150 and I'll give you 3 legit samples to choose from. Till then choke on it.

See this is what your failing to realize is that we as graphic designers operate businesses we sit up all day and all night working on clients projects so that we can pay our own bills..my lights and water don't pay themselves...Thats not my problem that you have a record company thats in a large market..I'mma charge you $150 -$300 for quality work and your paying me for my imagination and time....No self respecting designer will take a job like that for $50 unless they just need it that bad...and the money your paying for the logo goes toward your business look it up its called advertising and its part of being in business...just like when you purchasing flyers depending on the quantity your gonna pay... and the fact that the logic your using is ass backward is crazy...but I can tell you this I'll design your album cover for $10 straight stickman and loose leaf paper......

son thats an overstated example...and I like whipping my ass with good tp so its gonna cost lol...thats 2 hrs I could be spending on a another job that I could make alot more money on...and I bet you the type of cat thats gonna have 9 million changes and so that in itself makes it worth $300...ok I'll charge you a graphic design charge of $50 per hour but you get what you pay for...

I never knew making $25 per hour isn't considered to making a living. Basicly at 150 your charging $75 per hour. Can't knock the hustle, you just won't hustle me lol.

I'll throw in my two cents on this:
A good logo is worth every penny you pay for it, and in this case, it doesn't matter if you don't want to spend the money on the logo. A good logo would help you stand out in these 'crowded waters' you speak of. That's what your paying for when you pay for a logo, originality. If you spent $150 to show someone what they had never seen before, in a way they have never thought of, the project was worth every penny. And when you do spend that sort of cash, people realize it and take you more seriously.

Since youre "noob" then that means u dont know what the fuck is going on. People like him come thru all the time. They ask for the highest quality of graphics, but never wanna kick out a reasonable amount of money to the people whom they want to provide those high quality graphics. They hold these contents and hardly ever pick winners. So basically, most of these fools aren't the business men they claim to be. They talk like money isnt an object, but when they need designs..they act like theyre dead ass broke. Its happening around here for years. Stick around and you'll see.

Shawn,

How can you expect me to argue with you over your hustle? It's your hustle, you set the price and if I don't like it I can get the fuck out, lmao. Theres nothing you can say that will make me understand why you must be paid $75 per hour.

You got me twisted pimp. #1 I didnt ask for the highest quality of graphics. #2 I'm very willing to pay for the work, I'm not willing to be over charged. #3 There will be a winner and I will pay them. All you have in this world is your word and your balls. I'm a businessman but that doesn't mean im a highend businessman nor have I claimed to be pimp. But at the same time I'm not claiming to be dead ass broke. How can I be dead ass broke trying to run a record label? There has to be some sort of funds invested in order for this to be some what successful, right? Maybe theres been alot of cats who've done this sort of thing and you bought into it only to get hustled. Well I want it up front that I'm here to hustle no one, nor am I here to be hustled. This is a very simple transaction. I need a logo and some graphics design artist needs money - boom we hook up. Simple.

wooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

This is some shit I'd expect to see on some other hip hop site but I didn't think ya'll spent so much time arguing here. The time some of you spent telling this guy he's wrong for offering $50 you could have spent designing for your clients paying full price.

I'm confused. If $50 is too low to offer for a contest that he's not directly asking anyone in specific to participate in, why give him a hard time. If it's not enough money for you and your talent is worth more

click on the next thread. Just my $0.02
