Point being is this guy is pretty well known b/c of his affiliation W/ TRU and all that shit. And he has like 4 or 5 cds/comps out and he is still out there promoting his own shit. That's G. latez

Does anybody know exactly what happened between him and Master P?
Well, I'm not sure if this is right, but about two years ago I was surfing the review section of the "SOUTHWEST CONNECTION: THIRD & WEST COASTS COLLIDE" webpage. There was a review for KING GEORGE's not-bad "Life Of A Kingpin" CD. The guy who wrote the review claimed that King George left P because he just plain didn't agree with P's intentions of taking No Limit to a more commercial, mainstream level (which P eventually did, of course).

Also, I've read posts (here and elsewhere) claiming that P got pissed because KG was associating with some people from a territory in Richmond that P considered the "enemy" or something. I honestly don't know for sure if either story is right or not--this is just what I've read. But maybe someone else on this board who knows for sure can answer your ? better. PEACE!

I just talked to Dj Sham about this and told hom about this thread. He said King George is working on a new album. It is called "We What The South Bout"

He said it is noticeably better than his prior work. There are 4 songs that he knows of so far. He did the beats for 3 and another producer did the other one. HE said this project is not finished yet.

Apparently George is part of a group called the "Down South Go-Gettaz"

George is wrote a book about his experiences in the industry which most people know have been really fucked up. But the story between him and Master P is the big thing. He couldn't even give me all the details about George and P, but he did say that people always kinda ask about it but nobody knows the details (hence the book). ANyway, KG is trying to parlay his book and album into a solid deal. He could get one just off his past and connections, but every deal aint a good deal.

The one thing he kept telling me is that regardless of what you think of his music, dude is a real cool cat. "What he say he gon do, He always do. He's always above board with money, time, everything. And, he'll hustle for his agenda." I guess that's the biggest difference between him and P. If this cat is a high character guy who doesn't fuck people... and Master P is known as a sheisty muthafuacka - well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what might have happened.

The flashing picture of the white boy, sayin this is how the music sounds... damn.. I didn't wnt to laugh because it was fucked up..... but I gave in.

I don't get why Rasputians doesn't boot this cat outta the way.... I mean from all the stories I've heard King George just harrasses customers to buy his cds out front of their establishment....

Is he really a respected artist out there ? I mean it's good work ethic, but if you have to work that hard (and even beg for money) maybe you should put that hard work towards something besides music....
