Im not here to disrespect anyone. But I do agree with Tay Bay Rap is diluted. The ratio of weak to raw rappers horrible. Now I respect the og's that rap, I love em, I dont want anyone to retire. I want more albums from all of them, BUT, I want quality albums, Stuff they put good money and time behind. Rappin 4 Tay Put out gangsta gumbo The Covor looked bootsie. How's he gunna expect someone to pick that up over a photo doc covor or something. You have to think like the consumer. Check you demographic. NO I dont mean to single out 4tay I love his music and I dont think he fell off, he just needs to relize whats craccin. I think the more money he puts in the right places the more he'll get at the end. And so do others. Now I am an entrapanuer im trying to make money off this rap business. To me I feel to effort I put in the more I get out. Its a legal hustle a good way for me to make money. Im working two jobs now,and I got my hustle. and it fucking sucks, im just doing to get enough skrils to release my album. At this point i dont consider myself a bay area rapper. I havent had one album yet so im not established. Now i buy artists albums I respect and know will be quality. If your shit is on point it will be bought. Now I hate people that burns Bay Cd's cause I tell em its hurting the economy and if you really like the artist theyre not going to release another album cause theyre not making money off rap if you do that. And on top of all that I tell them that If you want to see the BAY and th west coast blow up on a national commercial scale again it will never happen as long as folks burn shit cause major distro's look for independents with high sales. I preach for real at these cats. Now we dont have bootleggers out here in the marins just cats that will burn the cds for their folks , I cant talk on bootlegging Cause i dont see it much. BUt people are burning shit. I dont let anyone touch my cds. This one fool told me he was going to just have the cd saved on his computer not burn it I told him to buy that shit and his bitch ass still hasnt he loves the cd (messy's disobayish) but he hasnt bought it yet. He tells me he plans to. But he dont buy shit All his stuff is old school bay shit or commercial shit he gets from the internet. IM sure he'll get around to gettin that bayish but who knows when.
But I truley believe if you Deserve it people will buy your shit. And your time will come. Time will tell us who are the busters and who are the ones that can hang. I know it makes some of you frustrated but just worry about yourself and making good music doing shows and appearneces in different areas and your shit will pan out. I know you probably dont wanna hear all this optimistic views of a youngster who aint been through all the crap you guys did, Buts it not easy for me eaither, IM in a writing slump right now, were I can write but I dont like what I see on paper after I read it a couple times, some say im being 2 hard on myself but I just want it to be perfect, yada? and im lving from paycheck to paycheck (my hustle is slacking cause im working two jobs so im quitten em, and trying to get a studio job) trying to get features and beats and live at the same time. IM human I eat too. basically I just want to thank all you for paving the way and setting a blueprint that im trying to follow now. but dont get mad at me for trying to make money.
