i just saw this show for the first time last night...........could of swore I saw JT on a scene but i could be wrong........anyway.....i couldnt call it a tight ass show but id keep watching it, its finally good to see a show based in northern cali.......most shows you see on tv are all based in ny or east coast feel me....
i can't believe how ignorant most of you are. Spike Lee didn't make this to give props to frisco or its rappers. This was made to show 3 kids with different origins, and from different parts of town...grow the fuck up

yall act like sucka free city was based on gangs, drugs, and violence. is that what makes a movie "real"? if yall are saying the movie is fake as fuck then you must not live in the city. only thing they missed on the movie was a case for the "westcoast boriqua" from the mission even though they dont have tht many puerto ricans out here. but serously, all the sh1t i saw in the movie gave a prety good insight on what type of sh1t that happens day in day out in frisco.

^^yall gettin it twisted.I was all for this movie from the time it was gettin shot out here,when they said it wouldnt get released and up to when theygot a chance to air it.I grew up in Frisco man so you aint need to trip off me but if you gonna make the effort to show a side of a city folks aint used to seein you can do it more ACCURATELY,I know wtf go down in the Sco but I mean there were alot of flaws that I know only nikkas from here would notice ans come on now,they had a fuckin bowling alley in H.P. LOL
Like I said,I give props to dude who wrote the flick and that he actually got it made and shown on showtime but that shit was garbage.I do wish the show could have been picked up so that it would have a chance to grow and take criticsm from the locals so they could make changes but oh well.It was a good effort on dudes part so I aint mad or hatin just statin my opinion.

no but the writer Alex Tse did.Go find an article of him explaining the reason he wrote the film,the characters were there to help show the diversity in Frisco and a way to show the side of THIS city people who dont live here usually get to see.He literally said how listenin to GLP growing up helped give him the idea to write about this shit,why you think its titled SUCKA FREE CITY? Maybe it was Spike that just seen it as a character based show but I think the writers goal was to also have the City be a character in its own way too.
