Is this true, I heard that somebody stated that youngers are being taught across the U.S. history lies in schools? The addression also involves, "they're being taught that U.S. Civil War was fought over the slavery but it's a lie"? "I talked to a teacher about it and they told me they know it is a lie, but they're doing it for money and they don't want to get fired".

Because if so, then wow, damn...

p.s. I looked up on wiki too and it seems the same

Btw, I kinda knew this before, I just felt the need to mention about it

Why not stand up if they're teaching lies and shit? Yeah, then you'll probably get kidnapped by FBI, shot, etc.....

EXACTLY. The day J-Dee (Dilla) died, that shit briefly said that he committed suicide. Moments later that shit was rectified. Wikipedia is cool and all, but that shit is not legit to put in your Works Cited.

last i heard it was because the south wanted to be a seperate state but slavery was merely highlighted to get blacks to fight for the north..

and the releasing of the slaves doesnt necessarily indicate Lincoln was against slavery...he was more for bringing the south back to the union, which he thought would be obtained by turning the slaves against their masters...that didnt really work though. what really was the key to turning the tide in the war over to the North was the Union blockade of british supplies going to the South. (Britain wanted the South, as payback for the Revolutionary War) it established the might of the US navy.

lincoln wasn't against slavery. the emancipation proclimation was signed because the north needed aid in winning the war. if they gave the slaves freedom in exchange for their support in the war it would give the north the edge to win and the south the lack of support needed to be defeated. thomas jefferson wasn't against slavery because that was his favorite source of pussy.

I'm glad I went to school in berkeley
