LMFAO...I never even thought of that. But I don't think so. While I would say that Papoose and Saigon are two of the best of the up and comers from NYC...I wouldn't say they are NYC's last hope. Right now there is a really strong young underground scene in NYC. Cats that be flowing like crazy. You got Murda Mook, Jae Millz, Hell Rell, 40 Cal, JR Writer, Loaded Lux, Uncle Murder, Bathgate, Shellz...I could go on for days.

These dudes all got that grimey old school NYC feel but with lyricism. I think NYC is looking real good these days.

Ok u might be right on this one.
But i'm tired of the G-UNit supremacy that's why i wrote last hope.
The dips are good too but as individuals Cam'ron is not interesting, juelz santana was the shit with his "back like cooked crack" mixtapes but none of them could have blown individually like Papoose or Saigon (i hope they will blow..)I mean without being related to a crew of rappers...
Papoose and Saigon are some real SOLO artists.

u can't compare Papoose or Saigon to murda mook: he is heavy freestyler but not yet a real artist.
yes jae millz is dope.
Hell Rell, 40 Cal, JR Writer> yes some cats from the dips are tight too.
don't know the others but i'm always glad to see new names i will try to listen to them...

I wasn't comparing Papoose or Saigon to Murda Mook and them at all. That part of my reply was more in the lines of NYC does have alot more to offer than Just Pap and Sai. The actual songs I have heard from Mook have been really nice...so I think when he gets in the studio more he has the chance to be up there with Papoose, Saigon and Jae Millz.

Yeah, I caught some freestyle battle footage of Jae Millz & Murda Mook. These guys were going at each other round for round. Both were pretty impressive.

I hope so...but
currently both got enough backgrounds to blow, they have ripped enough mixtapes and created enough street-hype to collect money and establishing themselves as rap icons.
Plus if they blow and integrate the mainstream circuit they will never do fake songs like a Fat Joe or 50 Cent with R&B singers...

OK i was a bit paranoid when i saw a letter war between the 2 but the coincidence was funny

I wouldn't say they're rap icons or even establishing themselves as that...and if they do blow, best believe you'll hear a song of theirs with an R&B hook....or worse yet, them singing...sorry to say but thats how mainstream hip hop has gone, you need a singing clad hook in your repetoire to make it...

and they're defenitely not ny's last hope...ny will be around dominating airwaves again soon enough....but not before the bay does!:classic:

thats some good alphabetical shit reminds me of blackalcous. i think they should have a school of hip hop and have that as a test to see who can do the best alphabetical spit. and have me grade it.
