If God knows all, then he knows the future, which means god knows the future with infallible certainty, the future is predetermined, and man is impotent to change it. That also means thats morality is meaningless, we cannot blame or praise a man for an action over which he has no control. Men are predestined for either heaven or hell, and they have no vioice in the matter just as I, according to the believer, was predestined to be an Atheist. Why would God create a man to murder or rape? Is god himself sick?

If god is All-Powerfull, he can do anything. Can god create a square circle? A married bachelor? Since these things are logically impossible, they cannot exit, and any being with the supposed capacity to create the logically impossible must himself be logically impossible. To say that god can do anything, even the logically impossible, is to push ones god into the realm of that which cannot possibly exist.

If God knows the future with infallible certainty, he CANNOT change it, in which case he CANNOT be ALL-Powerfull. If god can change the future, he cannot have infallible knowledge of it prior to its actual happening, in which case he CANNOT be All Knowing.

If you want to believe in kharma thats cool...The thing about it is what about all the rich/successfull/happy men/women who did horrible things in their lives to get to that point, but live out the rest of their lives happy? How come Kharma doesnt effect these people?

What if you threw re-incarnation into the mix. How do you know we are not paying dues from past lives?

What in your life do you choose?

Sure, if you through that in it sounds interesting but you must first explain how or why one would come to those beliefs. A lot of things may sound interesting or possible, but you must logically defend the beliefs.

What in your life do you choose?
I am constantly making decisions...If you want to believe that everything is predetermed, thats fine with me as long as you explain your reasons.

yes, God knows everything that has, is, and will happen. You must understand the context of the bible to reconcile why it seems that God comes upon these abominations in such a way that makes Him appear to be experiencing them as if He is human.

The future is predetermined in God's viewpoint, but not ours. You can speculate on pointless things regarding who's going to heaven or hell. But, in the end, that remains with God. Also, God gives man control. As God knows the choices we shall make, we do not know them. You say that, according to this, you were predestined to be an "atheist". This is NOT your final answer. YOU are not "atheist". You just happen to have atheist beliefs at the time. You do have a voice in this. Its the same voice that says, "I'm an atheist". Just because God knows of what you shall do does not rule out the idea that there is a sharing of power between God and man.

To answer your question, yes God is all knowing and powerful.
And if you doubt that God can see the future then look at the many prophecies that have been fulfilled throught out history.
However this doesn't mean that he will control your own actions.
You control your own destiny and it is only a modern misconception that God has already foretold your life.
He will intervine every now and then, but you're "basically" on your own. There for your thoughts and actions affect you on a daily basis and in many different ways.
God gave Adam certain rules in the garden, he left it up to Adam to do what ever he chose. And the same for Kain.

Furio, you will find all your answers by reading the bible.
If you can believe that Adam condemmed all men by obtaining all knowledge then you can believe that God has made up for this by sacrificing Jesus to cover for our sinful nature.
It's as simple as that, simply accept Jesus as your savior and you are spared. That is if you wish to believe....

God made us in his "image". Keyword, "image".
That doesn't mean he made us God like or gods.
In the early days, our genes were clean of mutation.
People live much shorter lives now days because our genes have been damaged through out the ages.
One example is human intelligence, most people feel that we are much more intelligent than early man.
Well that is a misconception, early man was much more intelligent then we are now. You ask how can that be? Just because we have this technology that they didn't have doesn't mean shit.
All that it means is that we have been advancing, building on top of what others have built in the past.
Think of it as "trial and error", if you know what I mean....

You ask where is God now?
He's everywhere, well at least his Spirit is.
It's all in faith bro.
You have to make a sacrifice in order for him to come into your life or anyone's life. You have to let go of this "my shit don't stink" ego. You have to come at him with faith and desire. You have to truly want it.
Now about this out of control way of life today, we brought it upon ourselves. You can't just expect God to come down and answer your every prayer. you're asking for something simple, control. You can achieve that by yourself.
Once achieving that, you can teach others to do the same.
You can always ask God for help though, he works in mysterios ways. Some times he comes out of no where to help non-believers. People whom never even thought of him. He chooses certain individuals. And if you notice, he always chooses people who will make the biggest impact.
Why touch someone who already believes in him?
You are already saved, so you're not the one in need.
Besides, no one's gonna listen to a priest or a religious fanatic about God coming into their lives.
But when a criminal turns his life completely around, only then does it get attention by other criminals.
Only a born again Christian who's a former prostitute will get the attention of other prostitutes. They ain't gonna listen to a goody two shoes pastor.

Furio think about this bro.
Think hard and you will understand....
Pick up the bible and read the Gospels.
Remember, Jesus's words are in red writing....

Peace,
Miggidy

Why are you afraid of Death?

Death is considered as something to be afraid of, something that should not be spoen about in happy cirumstances. But death is neight good nor bad. You have no choice in the matter: you can't get it sooner if you welcome it, nor can you avoid it if you condemn it as bad; it is a consummation which is inevidtable. From the moment of birght the march to the cremation goround has started. Some reach the place more quickly than others, some go by a roundabout route and arrive late; that is the only difference between one person and the other. Yet man walks about as if death is but a distant calamity.
Death is but a passage from this life to the next. It is a change from old clothes to new-as the Gita says. But some cynics laugh at the comparison and ask, " what about the death of newborn infants, children, youth and middle-aged persons? Their bodies cannot, by streching the meaning, but classified as worn out!" Well, the clothes might not be old but the clotch of which they were made must have been from very old stock. Though new clothes were prepared out of it, they are to be discarded soon.
Again there are some crooked men who refuse to believe in a previous life because they cannot recollect the events. These people cannot recollec the events of a particular say five or ten years ago, though they are certain they were alive that day. How then cant they remember or recollect events in past births? Forgetting events of that day does not mean that they were not alive at all; it only means that they did not pay any special heed to them and they had no special reason to keep them in memory.
Remember death. The body is the car in which you are riding to death. You may meet death at any moment while riding. Some tree or lorry, culvert or slush will bring it about. If you remember that time is running out every moment, you will not be tempted to wast time. Travel in the car carefully, slowly and with due regard for the needs of others on the road. Do not greedily try to overtake others or compete in speed.

Sai Babba

This is basically irrelavent to the topic but I feel the third paragraph has a good point, regarding re-incarnation.

I was waiting to see your reply n9newunsixx5150.

Your statements are full of flaws. Lets examine, shall we...

yes, God knows everything that has, is, and will happen.
The future is predetermined in God's viewpoint, but not ours.
Also, God gives man control. As God knows the choices we shall make, we do not know them.
First, you state clearly that "god Knows everything." But then, you state that "god gives man control", followed by "God knows the choices we shall make." If this is true, then Man has NO control. We are PREDESTINED.
Just because God knows of what you shall do does not rule out the idea that there is a sharing of power between God and man.
How can god and Man, share power if god already KNOWS ALL??? Again, we are PREDESTINED. Either we are PREDESTINED or we are not. There cannot be a middle.

Also, you stated that god knows all, but you did not comment if god is all powerfull. Care to explain?

2-0,

Biblically speaking, man's life isn't predestined.
God is all knowing but that doesn't mean he makes our choices.
We are free to do what ever we want.
That's how the game is played.
You cannot raise a son to be a man by holding his hand all the time. You would never be a fully independant man if God is constantly helping you by making your choices.
God sets you free to do what ever you want but at the same time he educates you. It's up to you to do what ever you want.

However there is a special few who's lives are predestined.
Moses and Jesus's lives were predestined to an "extent".
Certain folks have predestined occurances and actions through out their life.

The answer you're looking for depends....
Hope that helps.

Peace,
Miggidy

God created the man who happens to murder and rape. God did not say, "and thou shall murder and rape." God did not create sin. Sin is a misuse of God's law. Sin is not an entity itself. God created a man to do as he wishes. Man decided to sin. Sin is like a thicc fog in front of man's eyes, keeping him from seeing truth...

we have had this debate before, lol.
A square circle? Yep, God can make one. But I will ask you once again: can you conceive of one?
a married bachelor? why not? the terms "married" and "bachelor" are mortal thought. You are attempting to place God within the confines of mortal logic. This is a weak argument.
How about this one: can God create a rock so heavy that even He can't lift it? This one was better. Here's the mistake with this logic: you are stating something which is limiting of God. Yes, God has the ability to limit Himself. But, ultimately He has the ability to also lift the rock when He wishes. You might as well ask if God has the power to destroy Himself from existence, hence no existence. God has the ability...BUT, GOD WILL NOT GO AGAINST HIS OWN NATURE. God will not set Himself up for such an idiotic idea as creating something He can't lift or destroying Himself. I might not have got through to you about the stupidity of this question. Here's a good example. We know the speed of light. But what's the speed of dark?!! the logic is about the same there. If scientists were really smart they would know the speed of dark! since they don't must tell us that they really know nothing. When someone tells me the speed of dark is when God will create a rock that is too heavy for Him to lift.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

quote:
"If God knows the future with infallible certainty, he CANNOT change it, in which case he CANNOT be ALL-Powerfull. If god can change the future, he cannot have infallible knowledge of it prior to its actual happening, in which case he CANNOT be All Knowing."

LOL.
foolish, foolish!
Try to REMEMBER that...
God is above space and time. God knows above all time. All the "changes" in creation have already been made because of the mere fact that...
GOD IS ABOVE SPACE AND TIME.
God's will is done. His will has already been "spoken". But, since we are beings within the confines of space and time we encounter the "changes" through space and time. Understand?
Once again you are trying hard to fit God into human logic. Space-time logic...

You hardly have any idea what the term Kharma means. Kharma is just another word for the term "cause and effect". Kharma represents the continuous cycle of duality within "cause & effect", plus it is also said that one may transcend it. Also, does "rich and successful" necessarily mean one is happy? What is the *success* of a cheater? And what good is money in the end? People who are starved to seek pleasure in petty material things are deep in kharma. Kharma always affects these people.

Since when did KNOWING become FORCING? I do not see your logic. If I know you are going to trip and fall in five minutes does that mean I made you trip? There is no correlation between the two. One does not imply the other.

its both because there just so happens to be a RELATIVE and an ABSOLUTE. Yes, absolutely we are predestined. No doubt about that. But who is to dwell on that? What is the purpose of it. It is known, so let it be. Now, on a relative viewpoint, we live out our lives doing that which we are *inclined* to do. You must come to accept paradox. This conversation will be forever continuous. There is predestination. But it is not approached this way because it is not satisfying of a our relative being. We must attempt to live and grow rather than just saying, "fucc it, what's the point? I am already predestined." If we all thought like that then we wouldn't do anything. Action is better than inaction. You *do not* know what you shall do or what shall happen to you. In your eyes you haven't a clue. Accept that things are perfectly planned just as they are and continue to grow from a relative viewpoint. Thats my advice...

predestined (absolutely) and in control (relatively).

God gave man freedom. Man can do whatever they want and god doesnt control that. But life is a test to see if you are worthy of god, to go to heaven or hell.

People be sayin things like, why god let this happen if he so powerful why he let that happen. Because we have choice. Also life is nothin, life last what maybe 80 years if u live long? maybe more maybe less. Afterlife is what matters, that last for eternity. Also you say there is no proof, and science makes more sense and science is proven and all that shit. God said that there will be "many false prophets" who will try to trick you and teach you fake things. Also lets get something clear

Truth does not change right? This means that anything that changes is not true, so the only thing that can be true is god, since he is the alpha and omega, the begining and the end, he never changes.

back to people saying that it has to be proven. You need to have Faith, thats what its all about. Faith. People who search for too much get lost, people start analyzing too much and wanting things to be proven, just have faith. Read the bible fully and then comment instead of just reading bits and pieces and thinking you know it all. All the answers are in the bible.

know about it.
