I think I have to reset my iPod. There are a number of songs on it that I do not have on my computer. I would like to transfer them from my iPod to my PC so that once i reset the iPod i can put them back on there.

How can I do this?

well resetting your ipod doesn't cause you to lose any of the things on it. your music/videos/photos/etc. will all still be there. but if you want to take things off your ipod and put them on your computer anyway, there's a program called copypod that works really well. that's what i use.

how is mp3 qulaity at 96?

im converting down to 128,it helps on size but 96 would be more but whats the audio quality like
Listen for yourself and compare. The beats won't come as clean, certain intruments lose a lot of volume when you do. 128 should be the minimum, don't go any lower than that as it's already poor quality.
