not EVERYTHING is promotion, lol. there is shit that deterioates album sales...taking "dredio" cuz its the hottest song off that album and putting it on ur "mixtape" is not PROMOTION. yeah, its PROMOTION for these "dj's", not for the artist...why would someone buy this mixtape over the album? because these "mixtapes" have the best songs already on them, so fuck it, they dont need an album when they can get a mix of the best, already released, hot ass songs....the dj's wouldnt have a name if it werent for these already realeased songs.

whatever happened to the real dj's? these mixtapes are becoming the mixtapes u make when u first listen to bay area rap and ur homeboy makes u a burnt cd of "tight" shit.
