Ok really just one "play" in particular got to me.

At the end of the first half the saints were driving and there was the disputed play as to if the player made a catch of the pass was incomplete. Saints race up and snap the ball to get a play off. Now the ref comes in and says “oh they called the play in from the booth for review”. I think that was just BS. How are we supposed to know they called it in for review?

It ended up not really mattering to the outcome of the game and I was happy with the results. I just think that’s part of the whole instant reply system that’s faulty.

how do you know it wasn't called? It goes both ways. With everyone running downfield to get in position it would have been hard to run, make sure all players are lined-up, no false start, offsides, etc AND check the pager for the review. That all happened in like 5 seconds. I see what you are saying but I am giving the refs the benefit of the doubt as it all happened so fast.

Maybe they should have something else hooked up to the system. I mean they get to buzz the ref to tell him to stop the action for review right? Why not have something cut into the jumbo-tron or something flash on TV when they buzz the ref so we all know it is being stopped.

It just seemed like that whole situation was destined to be shady and no one was going to be happy about it.

Yeah I thought that was a little shady too. I was thinking they just said that because they new the place was going to go crazy if they didn't.

LOL@what happened after that, cowgirls coach getting called for a penalty for throwing the red flag within two minutes

I was bitching about home field advantage and all that.

42-17 is ok with me though. I can live with some faulty calls, its part of the game, I just don’t like when they put a system in to over ride the men on the field and the system ends up being where the controversy is at.

^You mean the facemask against Bush in the 2nd quarter?

What about the Patriots and Bills game where the Pats got an extra down after they got flagged and a loss of down, when they did a forward lateral. I thought that was messed up, but the good thing is that Brady fumbled the next play, and pretty much put the game out of reach for them. So if they never got that extra down they never would have fumbled and gave the Bills posession.
