I don't understand what the appeal is for Ron Paul.

To me he seems to be playing a similar role of Dennis Kucinich, but for the Republicans, which is to appeal to some of the anti-Iraq war crowd and bring them to the Republican party.

Paul first ran for President as the Libertarian candidate in 1988, receiving a massive 400,000 votes, lol

I don't like anyone that feels participating in the American electoral system on a national level can create significant progress/change.

Democrat, Republican, Green, Socialist, Libertarian or otherwise.

hahaha cool.

It was amazing though, because when I watched the Republican debate I saw 8 or so preachers going at it.

Thats how I felt atleast.

What was funny to me was they were in Ronald Reagans Library (or something) with Mrs. Reagan there and at first they all were giving praise to her and Ronald. Then the question got asked:

"Mrs. Reagan supports stem cell research, how do you feel about this and will you provide federal funding regarding this issue?"

Then all of a sudden it was like.....

"Well, I do respect Mrs. Reagan, but!....."
or
"I would like to show Mrs. Reagan an alternative..."

hahahah

damn if you woulda watched it you woulda seen the part where a few of them actually denied evolution. it was pretty sad to me. ron paul says good shit but has no chance and looks like he has had cancer for the past 50 years. the republicans got it locked as long as the dems still have a black guy or a bitch as their front runner.

exactly!

I thought to myself ron Paul is running for the wrong Party. If he was in the Democrat Party he would be a front runner, but he isnt and the Republicans have Cain and Gulianni for them. Those other clowns dont stand a chance, but Ron Paul is impressive never the less.

I hear what CB is saying about him and everyone else in the election but, he is actually going against what the "majority" republican party is. He even said he disagrees with Bush on alot of the foreign Policy issues, when the other pastors all said they agreed.

So hearing him was a breath of fresh air, only because I could never vote democratic.

It is NOT POSSIBLE for him to get any significant amount (if any at all) of his promises enacted. If any were, they would do more harm to America’s people, security, and economy than they would any good. It isn’t just that I disagree with his views from a political perspective, but rather that historical experience shows us the pitfalls of all of his promises. I believe it is irresponsible to elect someone to a position of such importance who is either ignorant of history or willfully ignores its lessons.

But it doesn’t really matter how many internet junkies jump on this dude’s bandwagon. Here in the real world I stand a better chance of winning the lottery (and I don’t play it) than this fool does of winning the presidency.
