For some reason I am in the mood to talk some shit so here it go....How come every song I hear, underground or radio, all I hear people talking about is what they got?....What happened to songwriting....Every song and album is judged by who is featured on it instead of the actual material....Another thing is when will the time come when compilations are gone....I cant knock comps since I have put out a few myself, but it seems people are more interested in putting out comps then solo albums, and then most solo albums I hear might as well be called comps as well....I look for shit from artists to bump and lately I have found absolutely nada....Im still bumpin 2pac and Bob Marley....There has to be someone alive with songwriting capabilities that is tight right....Maybe Im not checkin out the right material....If someone could tell me an artist who could carry themselves through a whole song, preferably a whole album, let me know....Maybe I just fell out of the loop and dont know what to bump....Anywayz once again Im out this bitch....Late.... like kingczar said Tech N9ne is a great talented artist, as is Eminem. They both have the ability to write a meaningful sound that is enjoyable all the way through. Aside from those two, there isn't much music coming out now-a-days that is anything but plantnium this, and bling bling that. I agree with you 100%

Old skoolers rapped about life and expressed their feelings of rage and emotion to the world.

Talib Kweli, The Roots, J-Live, Jurassic 5, Blackalicious, and Scarface have all put out quality albums this year that definitely do not fall into the category you're talking about. If you haven't heard these albums, then yes, you're "not checkin out the right material."

I'm very glad to see that someone else out there feels this way. I agree with you 100%. Luckily, I think we got the cure for the industry's illness. We're releasing the debut album from Sdickpen Da Kingpen soon. It's a double cd with 20 solo cuts! And trust me,this cat is not just a rapper, he's an artist . He's on my label and I might be his biggest fan. If you email me an address, I'll send you a free copy because I would like to see if we, again, share the same opinion.

LMAO @ "Eryka Badu's brother"...nah, but I think it sounds like you know who he is now. It's seriously a great album.
