I HAVE BEEN A RAP CONSUMER FOR THE LAST 18 YEARS...(SINCE I WAS 11).....OVER THE COURSE OF THAT TIME I CAME ACROSS GROUPS AND ARTISTS I HAVE SUPPORTED REGARDLESS...IN THE PAST YEAR I HAVE FOUND MYSELF GETTIN PISSED OFF MORE AND MORE WHEN I BUY A CD ONLY TO FIND 1 OR 2 SONGS NOT SKIPPABLE ON A DISC,SO HERE IS HOW I TREAT MY RAP PURCHASES NOW...

IF AN ARTIST I HAVE SUPPORTED SINCE DAY ONE DROPS 3 DISAPPOINTMENTS ON ME IN A ROW,I WILL NO LONGER BUY THEIR SHIT...I THINK EVEN 3 IS TOO MUCH BUT I HOPE FOR THE BEST WHEN I PLUCK DOWN MY 15 BUCKS...I WAS READING THE SPICE ONE NEW ALBUM THREAD AND REALIZED I WONT BE BUYING THE NEW ALBUM...

ARTISTS NEED TO WAKE UP AND MAKE QUALITY SHIT AGAIN...A DEDICATED FANBASE WILL ONLY TAKE SO MUCH MEDIOCRITY BEFORE THEY GIVE UP ON SOMEONE.....

THERE ARE MANY OTHER ARTISTS THAT HAVE VIOLATED THE 3 STRIKES AND SOME THAT ARE ALMOST THERE...PEOPLE LIKE...

SNOOP-WAY PAST 3 STRIKES
ICE CUBE-2 STRIKES
TOO SHORT-3 STRIKES
E40-2STRIKES
EMINEM-2 STRIKES
KOOL G RAP-2 STRIKES
SKINNY PIMP-2 STRIKES
CBO-3 STRIKES
MC EIHT-3 STRIKES
KRS1-3 STRIKES
BROTHA LYNCH HUNG-2 STRIKES
MASTER P-37637 STRIKES

THESE ARE ALL ARTISTS I BOUGHT ALL THEIR SHIT THAT I WONT BE BUYING ANYMORE OR AM CLOSE TO NOT FUCKIN WITH ANYMORE...DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL LIKE ME ABOUT NOT SUPPORTING SHIT ANYMORE???ITS KINDA SAD TO ME WHEN I LOOK AT THE SMALL LIST I HAVE HERE ALONE..SHIT,I WONDER IF IN 5 YEARS HOW MANY MORE WILL BE ADDED TO MY DO NOT BUY LIST ABD IF RAP WILL EVEN BE WORTH BUYING AT ALL THEN....

Good thread. I feel you on that one. I usually dont even give 3 nowadays. Music back in the days was alot more solid. I remember when anytime Spice 1, Too Short, CMW Eiht, E40 would drop I would be the first to get it and wasnt dissapointed. Now I dont even check for these cats much and if I did get the album I would have had to listen to it first. I think another reason the music isnt as good now is that the market is saturated with so many people doing it and the business aspect of things seem to be more important then the quality of the material. Shit, who knows alot of artists that used to come real tight might be like fuck it - I can drop whatever and people are going to pick it up just because it's me droppin the album. Man I can go on about this shit but I'll end here. I'm getting depressed thinking about it. LoL!

i mean, i used to say that bout certain artists shit, that i wasnt fuckin wit they albums no more, cause i was kinda disappointed on a few. but u really cant do any artist like that and count em out, it just means that you as a consumer should be more on top of your job, & be online trynna hit up the CD sites to listen to a quick preview of the shit.
