Can "Hyphy" (or any trend/style for that matter) be taken too far at one point?

Being from Oakland myself, I secretly don't want the nation to know that THERE AIN'T SHIT CONTSTRUCTIVE TO DO THERE. I mean this in the most compassionate way. When I first heard Tee Shirt, Blue Jeans, and Nikes, I was excited to hear Keak describe a random day the town, but now I hear it on every song. I know it's played, but "go to LA", take a road trip to Vegas, ATL, KC, anywhere!!
Ex(3rd Verse):
I'm in a dopefiend-rental tryna' paint the town
Four-speed honda civic, and I'm breakin' it down
One headlight, plus I'm ridin' a spare
Thermomoter say "100"(degrees), but I'm takin' there
...Coke-white tee-shirt, blue jeans, and Air-Max
Came up High Street, Stopped on Fairax (hey, that's my hood!!)

Again, in moderation, it's sick, but ramblin' about "ridin the strip" in every track is arguably overkill. I'm just sayin' though.

I wish the Bay would just market itself better, especially on video.

Question from any Non Bayestrians that listen to this: Can you understand Keak tha Sneak at all? Somewhat? 50%? Just the Hooks? He's one of the hardest to decipher artist's you'll find. But it's nearly always worth trying.

I understand keak somewhat but i've been listening to him since the 90's when it was 3x's. but sometimes you have to be quiet and try to pay attention cause you will miss what he said if you don't listen cause he sound's like he mumbles. his speaking voice is way different.

Every bay cut they play on the radio nowdays is cliche as fuck, get hyphy, go dumb, get stupid , ride the scraper, babababababababa

I'm glad they are finally giving bay shit some air play but I want to hear something original. I mean every beat sounds the same, they rapp about the same cliche shit, give it a rest. Call me a hater all you want but I don't really like Keak that much, all his songs sound the same and he sounds like he barley speaks english and since hes doing well hella cats are copying his style to try to get on KMEL. Well at least they are giving us airplay but we still aren't getting enough requests from our own people to get the number 1 song on the top 10 type of shows. Either people aren't supporting or the majors got payola out the ass making bullshit like that laffy taffy song number 1. As much bay shit they play I'd figure there would consistantly be bay cuts on those type of shows but I never hear them

man i think this hyphy shyt is way too much nowadays....its all over...every song u hear coming outis yelling out go domb,hyphy,getting stoopid....i feel like we listening to lil jon now...and honestly thats sumthing i never wanted to do in the first place...and on a side note to SCIENTIST...u asked if non bay kats can understand keak..well i dont think a lot of bay kats can even do it...
i personally aint feeling keak except for a few songs...and when i told this chick that she gott all bent outta shape and told me u aint feeling tha bay sound then....i laughed and told that broad i been bumpin this bay shyt since i was 12 years old....and i asked her can u even tell me 1 verse of "super hyphy" ....she said i cant remember it...i told her ill play u the song if u could just recicite one of the verses....she kept her yapp shut afterwards...its just funny how all the sudden every1 and ther momma is slapping tha bay ...i bet half of them kats aint got 1 album older then mac dre "ronald dregan" from any bay artist.

I can understand Keak...but then Again I been listening to em since the "Dual Commitie" days over at AWOL. With that being said, it's time where I've seen him too high at the studio rapping like "Za on my la , han on my sta smo... kin pur sip'n yac" not pronouncing any words at all. To the untrained ear...you'd think that was normal, but it's bad enough he's hard to understand, with him also being to high to understand himself. Also, We been sayin Hyphy since 1999-2000 so it's annoying when you exploit it, like turf niggas been hood... than some kid from the burbs wants to be from where you're trying to get out. I can say I will support the movement to the dirt, because it's "Homegrown" lifestyle and culture that is so contagious...it will develop it's own cure!
