hey i want to connect my reciever to my computer but i dont know what cords i need...ill put up some pics later i dont know if that will help but maybe it will

What are you trying to accomplish? Listening to your pc music through your home stereo? Or record audio from your receiver to your pc?

naw i want to listen to my pc music through my home stereo...i mean i have a ipod adapter so i can play my ipod on my reciever...but when i watch movies or somthin on my computer i get this shitty ass lil speakers playin it...

My computer has an optical out so it makes things easier.

Use your headphone jack and get a mini plug to RCA.

Pretty simple for Stereo sounds but if you want to go all out with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound then you should just buy a new sound card.

That receiver looks dated try for coaxial if you can

Red & White are sound Left & Right channel

Yellow is picture

Yep plug the red & white to the mini plug adapter

i know but the reciever can be used for tv,cd,dvd player,radio

so thats why the controller is so big

Buy a remote that has learning capabilities. But since you don't have that original remote I suggest using Logitech since you can transfer remote codes from your computer

Depends 150 - 250 depending on the promo's going

Logitech makes cheaper one's for about 60 bucks.

I have this universal remote, only cost me 30 bucks

But logitech is nice since you can connect it to your computer. Good incase you want add new devices

Yeah you can control 7 different devices.

Not all receivers are supported but the Sony receiver code is stored in the device. You can also try different Sony codes from other places.

This site has a lot of codes, if you ever need universal remote codes
